  1. Bello has a history of being a Yankees killer. Crochet is the ace. Bats just need to show up.
  2. What are the intangibles?
  3. My assumption is that RISP #s somewhat follow all #s. If the Sox are towards the top in offensive categories, RISP would probably not be some weird aberration where they are bottom half. They are 5th in runs, but 13th in HR's. Most likely that's due to hitters getting RISP home at a very healthy clip.
  4. You think they'd non-tender Lowe? We always project non-tenders and it rarely happens. They'll probably need a 1b going into the season with Casas on the shelf IMO.
  5. Could be a nice Franklin Park Zoo tie in though... https://www.boston.com/news/wickedpedia/2023/09/20/history-abandoned-bear-cages-franklin-park-boston-ma/
  6. Alonso doesn't fill a current hole if the hole is 2b/ss/3b.
  7. Sox BA is 254. Sox have a 253 BA with RISP. All I said was they need to make the Gil pay if he walks a lot of guys. Series is important and Sox need all the runs they can get. 🫠
  8. Gil gave up a bunch of bb's last time out and Sox didn't make him pay. Can't let the Yanks off the hook this time.
  9. Everyone on here lost there minds about the potential of NOT getting AGon once the trade rumors started. There was something about AGon getting on a plane or not getting on a plane and posters absolutely freaking out. When the deal was done, I don't remember a single person being upset about the price they paid. People thought AGon would hit 40 HR's at Fenway with his swing. It ended up being more of a doubles swing instead.
  10. I don't know if Romero's hit tool will be good enough to be playable at MLB. He may need another full year in AAA for a true breakout. Health is also a concern for him.
  11. Fine with any and all of those ideas.
  12. No different than penciling in Suarez AND Alonso. 0% chance that happens.
  13. Mayer would be injured when you needed the callup.
  14. The 1927 Yankees: Mark Koenig: 123 G, 83 OPS+, batted 2nd! Joe Dugan: 112 G, 78 OPS+, batted 7th How'd that team win anything?
  15. I don't care what pleases everyone, just what pleases me.
  16. I've met plenty of nice Cubs fans. I've met plenty of nice Cards fans. Just don't mention the rival team accidentally or they turn into absolute gremlins.
  17. The new baseball playoffs are crap. They should go back to either the one Wild Card team (94-11) or the Wild Card Game (12-21). I don't remember the Wild Card Game lasting that long TBH. Probably because the Sox were rarely in it.
  18. 1. I think they've added so many young pitchers at the end of this season that there's a chance they don't add anyone else. If they protect anyone, it's Sandlin, not Mullins IMO. 2. Perales has to be an MLB option as it's his last option year. Need to see what he can bring. 3. Two of the three start in GRE (prob Witherspoon and Eyanson). I think mid to late season promotions seem likely if all goes well. 4. SP looks right. I think they continue to develop Sandlin as a starter, but maybe start to treat him as a bulk guy because he throws too many pitches. 5. Dobbins and Early with Tolle in the pen as he works on his secondaries 6. Campbell and Garcia 7. Cannot predict now
