  1. If the Sox go .500 the rest of the way, they'll still wind up with 104 wins.
  2. You're crazy. Gomes is way better than Lyons. Lyons is like finger nails on a chalkboard. Gomes is like drinking sleepytime tea.
  3. No win is ugly.
  4. This is how I feel about it.
  5. Nice puff piece. If his stuff was so good, why did nobody have him as a top 30 Sox prospect prior to the season?
  6. What did the manager decide to do with catcher in the latter part of the 2013 WS? Stick with the high upside bat or go with the goodglove?
  7. I need to see an updated scouting report for Reyes. Most of the previous reports had him with underwhelming stuff. For whatever reason, he's been able to dominate without throwing very hard (obv it's because he has great control). We'll have to see if his approach continues to play at higher levels.
  8. He was fine. Much better than Farrell.
  9. Or "Greg Bird, maybe I shouldn't have enshrined him into the HOF already"
  10. Or that he's hitting it hard, but other teams have scouted him well and he can't get figure out how to beat a shift.
  11. I just don't even understand the thought process in saying something like that to begin with. It just doesn't make sense to me even if you ignore the bulletin board aspect. Yanks were 5-4 against the Sox. It's not like it was 8-1 or 7-2.
  12. Houk has a 1.17 ERA the past 4 starts and his bb's are way down since the beginning of July.
  13. Chavis played both games of the doubleheader on Saturday. Played 1b one game and 3b the other. Dalbec DH'd once and played 1b once. Chavis has just been really struggling at AA and he missed time due to injury recently.
  14. Traded for a bullpen arm.
  15. Considering that we were all told over and over and over again that DD's achilles heel was bullpen construction, I think we should all be jumping for joy.
  16. Don't get cocky kid.
  17. Ockimey is just getting better and better. 1.152 OPS in AAA so far. Dalbec is OPSing 1.657 in AA. He struggled getting to full health last year after breaking his wrist. If he finishes the season strong, does he become the #1 prospect?
  18. You sign him and if he blows in ST early April, you consider DFA'ing him.
  19. Still better than carrying a rando reliever. Need high upside bats in the upper minors.
  20. back to back to back
  21. No chance... NO CHANCE IN HELL
