    Umpires are a s***** part of the game that could be better. No one is tuning into a game to watch the umps. I will turn a game off if Angel Hernandez is the ump. Robot umps have NOTHING to do with sabermetrics.

    Hell no. Bard wanted to start. He was starting to falter at the end of the previous season. He was an average reliever with one good season (2010). That dude was overrated as hell. He had a 10.64 ERA in September 2011. Dude had s***** mental makeup. Sometimes pitchers just lose it (see Rick Ankiel). You can't blame the team for that.

    Borucki's 5 most recent starts (excluding the Sox) were some really s***** teams: SEA (in a super slide), 3 AL Central teams, NYY (yuck). He's basically a two pitch pitcher since his slider is so bad. They'll be ready for him.
