    @redsoxstats Cora on @weei : We need to pitch better. A lot of conviction in what we are doing, 3-9 doesn't look great, but it's going to get better, our pitching is going to carry us. We need to pitch better, that's the bottom line. We don't want Sale's velocity to be down, we saw it in Sale's last IP that he was upset and he was touching 95. I was protecting him in Oakland when he was throwing 88 and sick. The slider hasn't been consistent, it's the best in the game and it's not there yet. Delivery is off. Pedroia feels great, he's playing today and tomorrow. Maybe 2 out of 3, 3 out of 4 with him. Some games will be a grind on him and we'll have to give him a day.

    Nate has limited the Jays to a 82 tOPS+ over his career. He's only been better against 3 other teams with 4+ starts.

    Playoff hockey is probably the best professional sport in North America.

    To me, as long as the starting pitchers are healthy, they'll be fine in the long run. The trouble is that they can't dig themselves into too deep of a whole. It is only April and I do typically wait until the end of May to make any grand statements of the season, but this .250 winning % ain't gonna cut it much longer.

    Even though it's a small sample, it's nice to see Barnes and Brasier pick up where they left off. There was substantial concern about those two.
