  1. People still trying to kick Devers off of 3b for no good reason. Have y'all even watched Dalbec play 3b? He's adequate. His skillset isn't enough to move Devers off of 3b while Devers is still developing. Devers can be moved to 3b 9 years from now. There's no rush.
  2. I don't believe that's a factor at all. I think he gets dealt solely if the Sox think they can't re-sign him next year. They aren't doing it for salary relief this year just to break the bank next year.
  3. Betts to the Dodgers for Michael Bush 2b, DJ Peters of and Jimmy Lewis rhp.
  4. It'd be the only way to move on from Price if ownership still wants to worry about becoming Sisters of the Poor.
  5. If Matt Mantei is one of the best success stories of the Rule 5 draft, it's probably not worth discussing.
  6. List of nontendered guys the Sox might make offers to. https://www.overthemonster.com/2019/12/4/20995023/boston-red-sox-free-agency-non-tender-travis-shaw-blake-treinen-cesar-hernandez
  7. No, I just think the Sox won't have the best offer (either through budget willingness or thinking the contract isn't worth it). If ownership lets him out the door, it's because they don't have plans on re-signing him. Period.
  8. Hard agree.
  9. They aren't dumping Dalbec just to move Betts. Don't worry about it. They'll only move Dalbec for a young pitcher.
  10. Our best hope is that he returns to his CY form and someone makes a rash decision on him.
  11. Osich was re-signed too. Speier: "The decision to non-tender allowed greater flexibility in contract structure (I.e., split major/minor league deals) for players expected to offer depth. Osich has a split contract, with the LHP set to make $850K on the major league component of the deal."
  12. Once ownership lets a guy out the door, it shows to me that they don't really want him long term for the perceived market rate (i.e. they'll trade Lester at the deadline to re-sign him in the offseason!).
  13. If they trade him, he's not coming back.
  14. LOL nope.
  15. I wonder if GM's wouldn't be losing their minds over Wheeler if he wasn't a 1st round pick.
  16. I'm fine with Price. The only question mark to me is the Sale extension since he seemed to be injured when they extended it. The owners are flushed with cash. They can afford what they pay the MLB players (especially since they refuse to pay a living wage to MiLB guys).
  17. Freudian slip
  18. Don't be gross.
  19. db Donuts cr Cash
  20. I only eat big baller donuts.
  21. I'd bet dollars to donuts that their payroll department is probably separate from AP.
  22. Swihart Chavis Ellsbury Buchholz
  23. https://www.fangraphs.com/roster-resource/free-agent-tracker Have never seen this Fangraphs FA Tracker. I'm into it. It's better than the MLBTR I've monitored in the past.
  24. If Opening Day is a platoon of Ockimey/Dalbec......................
  25. Is that even legal?
