  1. @redsoxstats On the road trip Betts and Bogaerts combined to take 47 middle-middle pitches. Both made improvement on swinging at these pitches last year. Bogey: 58% -> 69% Betts: 57% -> 61%
  2. @alexspeier The Red Sox will make a decision about whether to activate Dustin Pedroia tomorrow morning, prior to the home opener.
  3. You don't think the 57% k rate will last?
  4. I don't think Adam Jones would be interested in playing here, so I'm not sure if it's a great comparison to Pearce. Also, it's April 8th. For Mookie, it's still early. For JBJ, he is what he is. He's never going to turn that offensive corner we want him to. All his value is in his glove. Whatever he provides with his bat is a bonus. For 7-8-9, Laser show will be back to help fix this. I'm not sure Beni is not diving to "save himself" for a big contract. That seems like the least fair point you're trying to make. Devers is on pace for 103 runs. He has shown flashes of really good to great defense at 3b. He needs to work on his consistency as he has a tendency to turn a routine out into an adventure.
  5. I think the downgrade isn't the lack of smell, but the fact that she has to express dog and cat anal glands all day.
  6. My cousin in law lost her sense of smell after a bike accident. She works at Angel Memorial in Boston and her super power is that everyone lets her express all the pet anal glands because she can't smell anything. Seems like a downgrade to me.
  7. Player of the Day: There was buzz in Fort Myers about Darwinzon Hernandez potentially making the jump from Double-A to the majors, bringing his tremendous raw stuff to the bullpen. The lefty showed on Sunday why the Red Sox were inclined to be patient and try to develop him as a starter. Hernandez struck out 10 of the 20 batters he faced in five shutout innings, with only one ball leaving the infield. Going back to the start of July 2018, Hernandez has a microscopic 1.36 ERA, with 80 strikeouts in 53 innings.
  8. Poster made the same claims last time. Not worth paying attention to.
  9. I put him on ignore, because it was no longer entertaining to me.
  10. Still don't understand why it took so long for him to be banned, but at least it's done for now. Glad that he was able to post himself into oblivion.
  11. Nobody cares about your kids volleyball game.
