  1. Maybe Reyes has a distracting nervous tick that nobody would like?
  2. How do you guys keep track of this nonsense?
  3. And Cody Ross was the one on the s***** team?
  4. Oh s***. They're different people?
  5. 2.5M is well worth it to have Mitch.
  6. One of us. One of us. One of us.
  7. Weber can actually pitch in the majors. Scouts have stated that Reyes stuff is like purely based on location and that he'd get whacked around in MLB. His BB% has double since getting out of A ball. 2019 was a step back for all of his numbers. I'm not sure he could provide anything for BOS over the next few years. Also, it's clear that Bloom values Webber. Not sure why it upsets everyone.
  8. LOL at the greed line.
  9. He had that one WS HR.
  10. Reyes is a nobody.
  11. Free-agent 1B Mitch Moreland signs one-year, $3M deal with #RedSox, source tells The Athletic. Salary of $2.5M in 2020 with $3M club option or $500,000K buyout for ‘21.
  12. Been saying this all offseason.
  13. Back then, Fenway was half empty and you could buy a ticket with a button.
  14. Why not keep Mookie then?
  15. Hate when HOF caliber players set the franchise back!!! Like when Yaz signed his outrageous deal!
  16. @ChrisCotillo Sox were rumored to have interest in Meulens earlier in the process. @Feinsand says they're "in the thick" of interview process, though no names have leaked out.
  17. I've been in Fenway and heard similar thoughts after Damon was traded, after Coco was let go, after Ells went to FA... It's just the nature of the beast.
  18. Because it's such a bad contract that nobody wants to hold onto him long term. Immediate regret. That's why it'll be hard to move JD.
  19. Even if he has a monster year, his age and lack of position will prevent him from opting out. See: Edwin Encarnacion who has been with 4 teams in the 4 years since he turned 33 (the age JD will be in 2021).
  20. This is hardly an engaging argument.
