  1. Junis is looking like s***. Time to pounce.
  2. Need a big number here.
  3. Betts RF, Benintendi LF, Martinez DH, Devers 3B, Bogaerts SS, Holt 2B, Chavis 1B, Bradley CF, and Leon C Swap Xander and Beni in the lineup.
  4. A great fictional baseball character name IMO. Maybe a better WR name?
  5. Let's also not mention that over 3x as many viewers watch a typical Sox game than a typical Brewers game. Not relevant!
  6. Just please overlook the fact that Miller Park can hold almost 4,000 more fans per game! That doesn't impact the numbers at all! Since 2002, The Sox have been 4th or better in their League in attendance every year but one. The Brewers have been 4th or better only twice in that same time period.
  7. @PeteAbe Xander Bogaerts .342/.406/.632 in his last 27 games with 17 XBHs, 24 RBI, 30 runs. Second among AL shortstops for the season in OPS. At 26, with two rings, becoming an influential voice in the clubhouse, too. Really has blossomed into everything the Sox hoped for.
  8. @redsoxstats The best HS player in Massachusetts, Sebastian Keane from North Andover, went undrafted in rounds 1-10 and is one of the top prep players available. He's going to have some big offers tonight to break his Northeastern commitment as round 11 is where these types go.
  9. 11 (347): @RedSox select North Andover HS (MA) P Sebastian Keane. https://www.perfectgame.org/Players/Playerprofile.aspx?ID=560049
  10. https://twitter.com/MaxWildstein/status/1136066037059919874 Video showing the pitch in question.
  11. https://twitter.com/PitchingNinja/status/1136294807133990912 Angel Hernandez is still umpiring MLB games in the Year of Our Papi 2019.
  12. @NHLBruins Zdeno Chara is not skating. Urho Vaakanainen is the other defenseman here practicing.
  13. McCutchen had much more value on the market than Maybin has.
  14. Son of Jay Bell taken in 7th. http://news.soxprospects.com/2019/06/red-sox-select-brock-bell-with-seventh.html Throws hard. Just transitioned to P full time after having TJS. Will Danton taken in the 8th. http://news.soxprospects.com/2019/06/red-sox-select-wil-dalton-with-their.html Had a great Sophmore season and absolutely feasted on SEC pitching, but fell last year. He changed is batting stance and it didn't work. Maybe Sox can fix him. Cody Scroggins selected in the 9th. http://news.soxprospects.com/2019/06/red-sox-select-cody-scroggins-with.html Often injured and had elbow soreness in April. Has already had TJS. Stephen Scott selected in the 10th. http://news.soxprospects.com/2019/06/red-sox-select-stephen-scott-with-their.html Can play almost every position on the field (1b, 2b, OF, C). Finished college career with two straight seasons with OPS above 1.000 at Vandy. @IanCundall Through ten rounds, the #RedSox have taken nine junior college/college players and one high school player. They’ve taken five hitters & five pitchers (four RHP and one LHP). This somewhat mirrors what they did last year when they took two HS players followed by eight college guys Like last year, the Red Sox didn’t draft a HS pitcher in the first 10 rounds. Prior to these two drafts, they had taken at least one HS arm in the first 10 rounds every year since 2004. Last year they took their first in the 29th rd; interested to see when/if it happens tomorrow.
  15. In tater news: Gorkys had 2 (7 for the year) De La Guerra had another 1 (2nd in two games) Curletta (probably in honor of Asche going on the IL) Wren (5th HR with 14 SB's so far) Bryan Gonzalez's OPS fell like a rock as he only went 2 for 6 (2.055) Elio Prado went off having protection from hitting in front of Gonzalez 3 for 5, one tater, 6 RsBI
  16. Maybe only using WAR for any argument isn't the way to go?
  17. My fantasy team needs him to come around any day now.
  18. Would love to have Travis Shaw at 3b for the 2019 Sox! What a great player! Numbers are off the charts.
  19. CamCan and Lugo will. They said so on the podcast.
  20. Dalbec's k's always look like that.
  21. pitching wins don't matter.
  22. I should have bolded the "a lot" and made the font as big as possible. He's been a little lucky, but the bad defense is a real big reason his BABIP is so high.
  23. Sixth-round #MLBDraft Pick for the Red Sox is Chris Murphy, a junior LHP from @USDbaseball. The 6-1, 175 southpaw struck out 87 and only allowed 44 hits in 64.1 innings, though he walked 43.
