  2. Manfred is pretty damn horrible. Selig was arguably worse IMO. He ignored PEDs. He constantly talked about contraction of various teams. He ruined the All Star game forever. He added gimmicky ******** like interleague play. Honestly, the next commissioner needs to market to a younger audience by reducing game length, changing start times, marketing their stars, paying a living wage to all MiLB players and figuring out how to expand youth baseball.
  3. Maybe something like their Annual Field Value equated to what the actual market value should be. For example, Trout has an AFV of about 500 over the next 11 years. How does that equate to a salary on the open market. This would be a better way to determine if someone is overpaid, underpaid, etc. Rather than coming up with a metric that is "one win is worth x" because that's not really the case.
  4. Serial rapist?!?!? The story I read proved that he was a cereal rapper.
  5. @NBCSCameraGuys Legendary #RedSox outfielder Dwight Evans has spent a great deal of time talking with Alex Verdugo this spring.
  6. @RedSox Coming soon to: Twitter Instagram Facebook TikTok Snapchat YouTube SnapFace TikChat YouGram
  7. Bellinger is repeating what everyone in LA is already stating. The LA City Council wrote a damn letter to the MLB demanding the WS trophy be presented to them. You may not like him talking about the Astros, but Bellinger, Turner and many other Dodgers are going to continue to go after the Astros for some time. I believe the LA fans want them to do so.
  8. They already have a fully formed team with marketable stars. People will like Mookie for sure, but I think Bellinger will always be the top dog.
  9. I hope he doesn't have to play against SD at any point. Career killer.
  10. I don't like that equation then. I think that up to a point, it may make sense, but it should be represent actual market value. At some point, it's no longer $ for $, there are diminishing returns. If it had any basis in reality, Mike Trout would be paid 70M AAV.
  11. And that's just the tip, baby.
  12. But nobody is spending $60M AAV on a player. I think the theory behind it is faulty.
  13. I'm pretty sure super famous and rich Mick Jagger could envision that.
  14. I don't understand why he was less involved in 2019. How was it different than 2016-2018? Mookie was still playing next to him. Did Mookie get better?
  15. If Henry keeps on following in the footsteps of "Mini-Mike," this franchise is doomed.
  16. Truthfully, aside from backing our own arguments, how much importance does that $ value really have? Was Mookie really worth $60M one year? Isn't he really just worth what someone is willing to pay?
  17. As the great philosopher once said "catch your dreams before they slip away." This is in regards to having one of the greatest players in MLB leave because the Sox ownership couldn't watch the hen house.
  18. I think it's a dumb idea, but not a bad look. The Red Sox having to go that way for marketing shows to me that there is a legitimate concern about the popularity of the Sox going forward.
  19. Weird flex from you.
  20. Gross
  21. Bench player at best.
  22. Because of Mookie or the cheating of previous years?
  23. Of course. Need to stay as far under the CBT as possible.
