    Heyman: Red Sox are said to be trying to reconfigure the part of the Betts 3-team deal with the Twins (meaning more than Graterol). While there’s still hope the mega deal gets done in some form, some involved are now suggesting it’s not a certainty

    It would seem Sox might add an affordable RH OF to balance an all lefty OF. Remaining RH OF who had positive WAR in '19 (age, WAR): Kevin Pillar (31, 1.5) Billy Hamilton (29, 0.4) Cameron Maybin (33, 1.6) Yasiel Puig (29, 1.2) Hunter Pence (37, 1.8) I like Pillar in RF/CF platoon.

    Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports that some involved in the Mookie Betts three-way trade believe that the deal is no longer a certainty. Heyman reports that the Red Sox are trying to reconfigure the deal to acquire more than prospect Brusdar Graterol from the Twins after medical concerns arose over Graterol's medial review. It appears a prospect from either the Dodgers or Twins could head to the Red Sox on top of Graterol, as Boston now believes that he's more of a reliever than a future part of their starting rotation. Heyman reports that there's "still hope" of this blockbuster getting done, but it's far less of the foregone conclusion that it appeared to be on Tuesday night.

    To me, he deserves every penny. I used to worry about the contracts, but with players constantly changing teams, I’d rather have a few guys to follow for their whole career. It just doesn’t happen as much anymore.
