  1. More sexism. Great!
  2. No, they have a s***** stadium in a horrible location. They get good tv ratings and are even more popular on the east coast of FL than the Marlins.
  3. If he gets past the Sox, I'm going to believe that the Sox are going to replicate 2020 next year.
  4. The Perez market is crashing.
  5. Yup, kinda weird. Maybe the Cleveland Baseball Team is currently bouncing checks?
  6. And the anticipation is that you could sign a Perez replacement for less than $6M. Maybe even get a guy on a multi year deal for less than 6M?
  7. That's how you build back a farm even if your hands are tied.
  8. Anyway, if guys like Hand are being let go, Sox could feasibly use their unlimited checkbook to completely revamp their pitching rotation and bullpen at a cost lower than previous market value. Is there an argument to not do that? If guys are being dumped for $$$ reasons, does that mean Perez's option is too much money and they could find a cheaper replacement?
  9. Also, the Sox should totally re-sign Hembree.
  10. Especially when Moreland gets DFA'd and the Sox re-sign him this offseason.
  11. Meh, their logo is a mess.
  12. Their logo is really, really great. I've been thinking about getting their hat since they first came out a few years ago.
  13. I know that if harmony were here he'd say that going Shed Long this offseason may be a good value after his .221 BABIP this year.
  14. Problem being that Bradley Richard Hand only has one "I."
  15. Wonder how Giants CEO Larry Baer markets his team to FA's this offseason? He's probably lower on Stock's value than we are.
  16. @ZackMeisel The Guardians have placed Brad Hand on outright waivers with the intention of declining his $10 million club option if he goes unclaimed, sources say. If a team does claim him, the Guardians won't be responsible for paying his $1 million buyout. Hand posted a 2.05 ERA in 2020.
  17. @BenBadler MLB wants to kill the New York-Penn League and turn it into yet another college wood bat league: Rest in Pieces Spinners...
  18. I am bullish on keeping him around.
  19. OPS pitch 1-25: .663 OPS between 26-99: .586-.597 OPS pitch 100+: .617 Can't say that's really a "pumpkin"
  20. What else did I have to do? Work?
  21. Trades Heath Hembree and 2 months of Workman for Seabold and Pivetta. Hembree gets DFA'd the following offseason. So basically Seabold and Pivetta for nothing? That's king s*** right there.
  22. Per MiLB transactions: July 6, 2018 San Diego Padres optioned RHP Robert Stock to El Paso Chihuahuas. April 14, 2019 San Diego Padres optioned RHP Robert Stock to El Paso Chihuahuas. July 13, 2020 Philadelphia Phillies optioned RHP Robert Stock to Phillies Alternate Training Site. No options remain for Stock.
  23. On the other end of the transaction, Robert Stock gets sent back down. This is not a major surprise as Stock, despite a big fastball of his own, hasn’t really found his footing in multiple stints this year. The righty has tossed 13 1⁄3 innings for the Red Sox and has a 4.73 ERA with 14 strikeouts and 10 walks. He does have another minor-league option remaining for 2021, but given the roster crunch coming this winter he could be in danger of losing his 40-man spot at some point. Ok, so some places say 2, some say 1 and some say 0. Great.
