  1. If they can re-sign JBJ, they'll go over and then grab another decent pitcher or two. If they have to go cheap with Marisnick, maybe they just grab another cheap RP and call it a day?
  2. The Sox rotation should be better than the Jays. Maybe that can push them over the top into 2nd place? I think a 3rd place finish is a reasonable expectation though. I know the Rays tend to bounce back really well, but losing 3 starting pitchers (2 left, 1 injury) is hard to overcome as we all saw last year.
  3. I love original comments like this.
  4. Like Bob Ross would say, "it's not a mistake, just a happy little accident."
  5. And for a 29 year old guy with only 466 innings in MLB and risky health?
  6. I’ll allow it.
  7. Pederson/Renfroe platoon in LF would be dope.
  8. You think it's just going to be Renfroe/Beni in LF? If Dalbec fails, Chavis is called up and Dalbec is sent down.
  9. I agree. Make sure it's a LHB that can play CF and I think the offensive side of the roster is "good enough." I'm not worried about the "LHB off the bench" thing. Just need a guy to platoon with Renfroe.
  10. I'm not sure many teams want to trade a prospect AND take on a 5M contract for a guy who has a 621 OPS since 8/1/20 with poor defense and a feet that move slower and slower every year.
  11. It's going to be Jahmai 24/7.
  12. How can guys that won't be on the roster in 22 hurt 22's roster?
  13. Doesn't seem likely.
  14. The prospects they get will be low value prospects. Beni has a better chance of turning things around than bringing back a good prospect.
  15. I don't remember the Yankees messing around with Aaron Judge's service time.
  16. Service time is meaningless to this team. You can always use the option later in the season once you're out of it.
  17. He shouldn't go over by 20-30M every year because it's bad business. He should go over by that some years. Since they already reset last year, it makes little sense to stay under this year. They can always reset later on. Just don't sign extensions to injured pitchers (Eovaldi, Sale).
  18. Seems like it.
  19. I hope he's lights out and they deal him at the deadline for some good prospects.
  20. Also, if the Sox aren't a lock for the playoffs, who cares if he comes up small in big moments? There won't be any!
  21. It's true. If the season were 162 games long, he'd surely have 2 more appearances where he'd give up 6 runs in 0 innings!
  22. They aren't going to get anything of value except tax relief if they deal him. Makes little sense to move him unless you just pine for the thickness of Henry's wallet.
