Duran Home OPS 1.196 Duran Away OPS .775 Will he hit better than Arroyo or Kiké? Hard to say. He doesn't replace Marwin or Santana because he's an OF only profile. The better question is would Cordero be a better bet than Duran right now?

Home: 6 2b, 10 HR, 411 OBP Away: 1 2b, 5 HR, 333 OBP He's consistent May vs June and Left vs Right, but that Home vs Road split is eye popping. You know that Bloom sees this too. I'd be pissed if I was him. It really screws up player development if you have a park like that.

@jaysonst Hector Santiago is appealing his 10-game suspension stemming from his sticky-substance ejection Sunday His challenge: Rule says that *any* ejection carries automatic suspension if umpires find anything sticky. So there was no MLB testing to determine the substance on his glove. @jaysonst From MLB's announcement: "The umpiring crew shall be the sole judge as to whether the rules have been violated." So once the umpires determine there is reason to eject him, the suspension is automatic.

@alexspeier Tanner Houck, who turns 25 today, is starting for Triple-A Worcester tonight - his third start back from his flexor strain. He’s struck out 12 with one walk in 6 2/3 innings in his first two starts back from the injury. Dalbec is 26 today and is hitting 9th for the BOSOX. Travis Lakins is 27 today and is starting for the O's against HOU tonight. Big birthday day for current and former prospects.
