  1. Anthony Seigler's prospect savant page (C, 1b, 2b) Maybe good depth in WOO?
  2. Increase the bb rate. Pop a few more dingers over the Monster. If he keeps the same defense and running metrics, he'll do just fine.
  3. Money has always been an issue since 2019. We can't ignore those constraints. They aren't a top 5 spender any longer.
  4. I only saw him the 3 games they played against the Sox. Have no clue where they'll play him. Cora will figure it out soon enough.
  5. I think that value for Harrison is too low TBH.
  6. Shaw doesn't have the hitting approach, but has a higher ceiling if he can get there. Was going to cost A LOT more to obtain.
  7. You can only make trades if the other teams are willing. That cost was very fair. The Marte cost was pretty high for a guy that is going to decline fast and move off 2b in a few years. HOU doesn't really need Paredes and was still trying to trade for Abreu, but the Sox were unwilling to move him. Abreu is probably the better player with more control. CHC trade seems like wishful thinking. Hoerner was going to cost too much for a one year guy who is a league average hitter. Matt Shaw is going to replace Hoerner next season at 2b. What's the play there? Trade Shaw and you don't have a 2b after this season. Trade Hoerner and you are taking a step back in a year you are trying to compete.
  8. Campbell is an OFer going forward. Or trade bait if he can recoup value. I think he's another case where internally he's valued higher than externally right now.
  9. They would have traded him anyway at some point. Breslow didn't like that contract based on the internal models. JH had buyer's remorse after the ink dried.
  10. This MIL-BOS trade works for me. No complaints.
  11. Why even include prospects in the Masa deal? Just eat 80% of the contract and move on from him. If Duran is the DH for the next 2 seasons, it's the same length as Masa's contract anyway.
  12. Sox have depth at SP. This trade is a slam dunk for both sides.
  13. However, Durbin is really good at a couple of important things. The first is bunting... This is not a Red Sox trait. I would lose my mind in a good way though.
  14. Monasterio is a super utility guy. Has 3 options still. Ridiculous 27.7 pull air rate last season.
  15. Romy can platoon IF/OF. There will be injuries.
  16. I'd say they're holding onto him to get through ST, but he's heading off to the WBC.
  17. Alex Gonzales, Lowrie, Iglesias and Scutaro were good enough though.
  18. And financial flexibility!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Batting 2nd: 1000 OPS Late and Close: 883 OPS High Leverage: 805 OPS Pulled Pitches: 1049 OPS K%: 9.9 (98th percentile) Whiff%: 13.0 (96th percentile) Pull Air% 20.4
  20. Yuuuuup... If Casas comes back healthy and replaces Masa in June? If Abreu's HR totals continue to head closer to 30? Aside from Contreras, really not much power from the right side. I don't see Romy continuing to hit RHP very well.
  21. He'd be a good #2 hitter behind Duran TBH. Fast. Takes a walk.
  22. If he can't put it over the Monster: Jody Reed 1989ish? Bill Mueller vibes?
  23. Does NOT hit the ball hard, will pull it though. Was good at 3b after playing mostly 2b in MiLB. I like the approach. He's our new short king at 5' 7".
