  1. Can’t watch that 3rd strike
  2. This is why Perez is a 5th starter
  3. Funny how 0-2 become 3-2 so quick
  4. Xander Xander
  5. Duran needs to perform at AAA for them to call him up. If there was an injury, they'd probably even call up Puello first.
  6. Whitlock can be turned into a starter next year. I'd go easy on him this year and just let him be a bulk innings guy.
  7. Gross. We don't care about the Pilots' lineup here.
  8. Boston Red Sox lineup: Bobby Dalbec, who is 11-for-28 (.393) with 5 extra-base hits in his past nine games, returns after off day
  9. That is true.
  10. I guess? That's a lot to pay for German.
  11. This post is Andriese erasure.
  12. The lineup was out and nobody had made a thread. I had no choice in the matter.
  13. @DailyMLBLineup #RedSox Lineup 04/23/21 1. Enrique Hernandez CF 2. Alex Verdugo LF 3. J.D. Martinez DH 4. Xander Bogaerts SS 5. Rafael Devers 3B 6. Christian Vazquez C 7. Christian Arroyo 2B 8. Hunter Renfroe RF 9. Bobby Dalbec 1B Starting Pitcher : Martin Perez Kikuchi starting for the Harmonys.
  14. To me, Brice was the 14th guy. He still seems to be. No need for him on the roster IMO.
  15. That one is called "the yips."
  16. Yes, I am underwhelmed over the moves that Bloom made this offseason for sure. Renfroe? Richards? Marwin and Kiké are ok, I guess? Ottavino doesn't look that great. Whitlock was a gem, but that's about it.
  17. I'm not bashing yet. Just questioning the thought process.
  18. Well, they could have added another bench player rather than going with 14 pitchers. I think they are leaning too heavily on "everyone gets to play because Marwin and Kiké can play all over the field". I'd rather they went with the squad they had and did less juggling. They aren't juggling because they are stuck with versatile guys, they intentionally picked versatile guys so that they could juggle. This is the plan and I don't like it. Jack of all trades master of none and whatnot.
  19. @PeteAbe Seattle starter Justin Dunn, a BC product, had "Team Frate Train" embossed on his glove for his first MLB start at Fenway Park last night. Great tribute to the late Pete Frates. Dunn was playing at BC when Pete was the team operations director.
  20. Those two calls aren't why the Sox lost though. Ottavino just couldn't throw strikes.
  21. I agree. 100%. That's not how they are utilizing the roster to me. They have intentionally moved people around. I don't get it.
  22. From looking at his game log, Verdugo is playing way too much LF at home. WTH? He's was good in RF last year. note: I just looked at Verdugo's stats from 2020 and he played an absolute s*** ton in LF last year. This is the Red Sox version of Berenstein vs Berenstain.
  23. Has Verdugo played LF at home or mainly on the road? It makes sense to move them around based on the field they are playing in. It's a waste to put Verdugo in LF at Fenway.
  24. That's fine, but if he was in the wrong spot, the coaches should have moved him.
