    I agree. I'm just saying that I like Mancini as a player fit. I think he'd be great for the organization. I don't think I would make a trade for him at the deadline though because he'd be cost prohibitive.

    Framing is only a skill because it's meant to trick umpires into calling every pitch a strike. Receiving is a more appropriate skill as it's simply about handling the pitch coming in.

    Mancini would come at a premium due to what he means for that ballclub. I'd take him over most of the other guys though.

    When did they trade Jose Fernandez? Luis Castillo is well behind all the other players mentioned so far.

    They don't go for Rizzo. They may look for a lower rung starter to help ease the innings (Jake Peavy).

    Santana has a long track record of being a mediocre player. He's replaceable.

    Sano has had such an up and down career that it may be a reasonable comp for Dalbec. It's not a player I want starting 1B for the BOSOX.

    Bloom traded him because he was giving up 2 guys he was taking off the 40 man roster (Springs/Mazza). He would have lost Springs and Mazza for nothing otherwise.

    There was a former poster who ranted over and over about how Ryan Kalish got injured because he was in PAW and not in BOS. I don't want to go down that slippery slope again.

    He was in the teens at the start of the year at SoxProspects, he's down in the 20's now. Maybe he goes back up at some point?

    And there are always decent 1b's sitting on bottom of the barrel teams that would be cheap to trade for. It should be one of the easiest positions to fill.

    Same. My birthday is the week of Thanksgiving though. I remember a classmate who was a Xmas baby too. When I went off to college, Richmond had a curfew for anyone less than 18. Theoretically, I couldn't be outside anytime after 8pm. (Yes, this was back when Richmond had a high murder rate and it was just another thing to try to keep people off the streets.)
