  1. He's throwing more first pitch strikes and is going after hitters with his FB. Last year, he'd just toss lots of junk.
  2. I agree. Dalbec stays. Chavis for Brice. Santana for Cordero. Their bench isn't big enough to absorb these guys that are absolutely struggling right now.
  3. He's a millenial SCM33.
  4. Because they NEED 14 pitchers for some dumb reason EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVEN’T USED VALDEZ IN ALMOST TWO WEEKS!
  5. Back to back walks. Need a crooked number here.
  6. Then we’ll be behind him but he’ll be staring over a cliff edge.
  7. Nice catch. JBJ wouldn’t have had to slide tho.
  8. Ian Browne: Devers now batting second. Vazquez to the 5-hole. Arroyo now at second, batting seventh, with Hernandez in center. Again, Verdugo out due to a nagging back. Game will be delayed.
  9. Tony La Russa did not know that he could have used Jose Abreu at second base as the free runner instead of closer Liam Hendriks. Was informed of an amendment to rule by @JRFegan. "I'm guessing you know the rules better. Now I know," he said
  10. Sox are 8th in team ERA, 11th in WHIP for relievers. The starters are 12th in team EAR, 19th in WHIP. As for the offense, they are 4th in runs and 1st in OPS.
  11. @SoxNotes Xander Bogaerts’ rankings among shortstops in 2021: .351 AVG – 1st .385 OBP – 1st .604 SLG – 1st .988 OPS – 1st 16 XBH – 1st 10 doubles – 1st 39 hits – 1st Since Apr. 20, he leads the AL with 6 HR (in only 13 games). He has homered in 3 of his last 4 games.
  12. My roommate bought a keg in 2001 for a going away party. We already had a fridge full of beer. He stated "I told everyone there would be a keg, so we need a keg." When I moved out, he had taken all the shelves out of the fridge and thrown the keg in there so that it wouldn't go to waste. The last time I drank out of a keg was 2010 for the Saints Superbowl as my friends were doing a Superbowl Beer Olympics.
  13. He seems to be behind. I wonder if the neck and covid issue set him back
  14. Moon may remember this one: The earliest Oxford citation (from the May 20, 1883, issue of Sporting Life) has a baseball for the target: “He hit the ball fairly on the nose, sending it clear to the right field fence.”
