  1. That positioning on Franchy...
  2. Damian Jackson
  3. Bassitt is better than Lopez
  4. Smooth DP. Don’t walk the leadoff guy next time.
  5. I'd say he was above tier 2. He was 1b to Pedro's 1a in 2004. I hate the guy, but I'll give him a little credit.
  6. 1. Marwin Gonzalez 2B 2. Alex Verdugo CF 3. J.D. Martinez DH 4. Xander Bogaerts SS 5. Rafael Devers 3B 6. Christian Vazquez C 7. Hunter Renfroe RF 8. Franchy Cordero LF 9. Michael Chavis 1B Starting Pitcher : Nathan Eovaldi
  7. Best tier 2 (not ace) Sox pitchers since I've been alive: Hurst Darwin Boddicker Beckett Tudor Viola Saberhagen Lowe Buchholz Lackey Price Porcello
  8. They should have gone back to back in 07/08 and kept Manny. Just needed to figure out how to get through to him.
  9. April/May are his best months per his career splits. Maybe he needs to just get into a rhythm with Vaz?
  10. I loved everything about Manny. He made baseball fun.
  11. I lived in LA from 07-10 and would overhear people at work say things like "Manny and Ortiz are this generation's Ruth and Gherig."
  12. He needs to listen to Barnes and start attacking hitters more.
  13. @JeffPassan BREAKING: The Oakland A's will start exploring relocation possibilities after Major League Baseball suggested the organization consider moving to other cities if the Howard Terminal stadium proposal is not approved by local politicians. Should have been allowed to move to San Jose 20 years ago.
  14. https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/ANA/attend.shtml Not much of any impact. That team has had strong attendance since the rally monkey days.
  15. Ottavino's peripherals aren't all that different from 2019 (some are even better). I think the big change is he's getting less swings for balls outside the zone and is throwing much less first pitch strikes. If you are starting off down 1-0 and not getting batters to chase, you're going to struggle a little. He was lucky in 2019 and less lucky this year.
  16. There are all sorts of unrealistic ways to get Munoz on the roster. I'm for all of them. Yes, Munoz and Mazza would have been on my Opening Day roster.
  17. He's the modern day Ciriaco. Only difference is I think Munoz could be decent.
  18. Good chance that Munoz keeps hitting and Santana doesn't. That'd be when.
