  1. Not sure a crow hop works when pitching.
  2. 1. Enrique Hernandez CF 2. Alex Verdugo LF 3. J.D. Martinez DH 4. Xander Bogaerts SS 5. Rafael Devers 3B 6. Hunter Renfroe RF 7. Christian Vazquez C 8. Christian Arroyo 2B 9. Bobby Dalbec 1B
  3. Wilson is hitting too well. Bye Brennan. Or 60IL Potts.
  4. I figured that other poster's would be worried about their mojo going against this streak the Sox have against the Stros. I am not.
  5. I was wrong for slotting him in LF and Verdugo in RF. I didn't know about the howitzer he carries.
  6. @jcmccaffrey Sawamura has a sore right hip and has been getting treatment. He's not available today. Cora said it's possible he might need an IL stint but they're still figuring that out. I think it's just about Cowboy Kaleb Orton time.
  7. I'd keep Dalbec up, DFA Santana and figure out who to call up out of Wilson/Chavis. Could be a good tip of the cap to call up Wilson for how well he's playing?
  8. ERod vs Greinke
  9. I bumped this to give Renfroe a shout out, not to drag Dalbec/Chavis/Santana in here. Hunter, I'm glad I was wrong about you. You're still not great against RHP, but maybe you can be serviceable as an everyday guy and not just a platoon guy.
  10. Wilson has been around long enough where I still assume he's older than he actually is. He's less than a month older than Duran.
  11. At first, there was some concern that his HR's were cheap, but now he's sitting at 8 and it's only 6/10. I agree that it would be interesting to give him a shot especially since he has a much better glove than Cordero.
  12. @SoxNotes Hardest throws by American League outfielders in 2021: 1. Hunter Renfroe – 98.4 mph T2. Hunter Renfroe – 98.0 mph T2. Michael Taylor – 98.0 mph 4. Hunter Renfroe – 97.8 mph (source: Statcast) Also has a 861 OPS since May 1. Nice that he's not the black hole he was in April.
  13. I wonder if it's in part to AAA guys being off for all of 2020 as well as Cordero just needing time to get comfortable.
  14. ^^^ If he's leaving on his own terms, great!
  15. I'm not saying we should have signed him. Just that there is an obvious need for him somewhere in MLB. Odd that nobody found a spot for him. I was only questioning the "he's done" remark and stating that ERod is pitching worse than the dreaded 4.5 this year.
  16. I'd take Rocker, but if Bloom prefers Lawlar I would understand.
  17. A 4.5 ERA pitcher is better than what ERod is right now. It's a pitcher that has value and can save a bullpen.
  18. Why doesn't he have a job yet? Especially in light of all the injuries this year?
  19. If Leiter is available at 4, I can't see the Sox passing on him.
  20. I prefer true philosophers: Tip toe through the window By the window, that is where I'll be Come tip toe through the tulips with me Tip toe from the garden By the garden of a willow tree And tip toe through the tulips with me Knee deep in flowers we'll stray We'll keep the showers away And if I kiss you, in the garden In the moonlight, will you pardon me? And tip toe through the tulips with me
  21. Downs is not blocked. Downs is not ready. Downs just dropped 10 spots on the latest Top 100 list.
  22. Verdugo is out with a tight back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4O5i0xq2bLk
  23. "Kids, you know how you asked Santa for that one really big present, but you got something that wasn't as great? That's what happened when the Red Sox traded Mookie Betts."
