  1. Should have gone with: Pablo will make the bridge buckle.
  2. Adding Pablo to the Guardian statues out front. He's got the girth.
  3. The Jays have "won" multiple offseasons and never have gone anywhere. They may as well "win" the trade deadline and miss the playoffs too.
  4. The TalkSox country ballad we've all been waiting for.
  5. Or he doesn't like the prices being paid?
  6. He's exactly the type of guy you need in postseason situations. I'm glad he's in the pen.
  7. I'd take Wilson, Arauz and Rosario over Cordero. I take Dalbec over all those guys.
  8. The bp is "fine" but they need additional insurance out there.
  9. Hendricks would be the #2 starter here.
  10. They have those?
  11. Between the Yanks and the Jays, yes. One will be very disappointed at the end of the year.
  12. Both true and false at the same time.
  13. At least!
  14. Mike Greenwell Reggie Smith Mo Vaughn Fred Lynn Tris Speaker
  15. The next DFA guy will be Danny Santana. He'll be replaced by Munoz IMO.
  16. My long winning streak started with a game of Perez vs German (the guy that looked to no hit the Sox last time out). I thought the Sox were likely to lose that day. I just figured it was funny that I was able to do the Pedroia retirement party since I called for him to be traded for a long time (rightly mind you). Streaks can come from almost anywhere. You'll have one someday too.
  17. That OBP from 58-62, a man before his time.
  18. Still needs help down the stretch. Schwarber's injury must not be very serious. Maybe he believes he's selling high on Aldo Ramirez?
  19. And as for Cordero, he absolutely sucked at the beginning of the year. He was sent to AAA and mashed. Over time, his k rate started creeping up again in AAA and his k rate was 34% of his last 30 games. Until he shows in game power, those k numbers just aren't good. The HR's at Polar Park can be completely discounted for LHB's. Since being promoted, he's had a 36% k rate and 0 XBH. He's putting the ball in play, but it's not really showing me much we didn't see before.
  20. Right now, we only have some of the information. Until we know all the deals, we're just spitballing at what the plans could be.
  21. And Yanks need a winning streak sooner than later. They can't tread water for 2 more weeks. If that happens, they are done.
  22. He's better this year, but is he an upgrade over Perez? I'd take him over Richards for sure.
  23. Kutter is definitely in the conversation. I'd take him over Cordero. Dalbec? Not sure. I think there is still high upside on Dalbec. He just needs to take walks like he did in MiLB. BB% of 5 isn't cutting it. Get it to 12-15%.
  24. It took how many years for JBJ to be an everyday player. Laughable. https://www.fangraphs.com/players/jackie-bradley-jr/12984/stats?position=OF Pedroia came up and sucked s*** in 2006. Sox ended that year 11 games back. Like I said, the Sox are in the playoff hunt this year. You don't mess around at the end of the year with this crap. If he's not ready, he's not ready. Let him be ready for April 1 when there is time for him to adjust. If you don't want to read my entire post, go for it.
