My worry is that if he goes back to the launching pad he will continue his bad habits. The lazy flyballs that go for HR's in RF in WOO won't go out in BOS. It's probably going to take him the offseason to figure this out.
De La Rosa: reliever, no high upside
Valdez: high ceiling bat, but is nowhere near that at the moment
Gambrell: lots of injury issues, pitched poorly this year, on 60 day IL
NY, LA are the two biggest markets. Boston has a nationwide rabid fanbase.
What I'm saying is that there is little incentive for BAL, PIT, MIA to ever be very good.
The problem is that winning doesn't matter anymore. These teams can be absolute dog s*** and the value of the club will still rise. It's an investment for some. it's a plaything for others.
