    These teams are tanking, but it's not really for draft position. It's just to save $$$. Then they'll put the carrot out to their fans once a decade or so and be a half baked contender.

    I think Verdugo has a good amount of trade value. It's less likely he is dealt since they moved Renfroe. I'm not sure what other teams think about Duran after 2021. May be better to hold onto him? IDK. I really don't see the Sox making any long term moves this year and that includes Bryant.

    They aren't signing Correa or Story. I think agents kept pushing the Sox into the SS conversation because they are a big market club with a potential hole at SS next offseason.

    By "new prospects" are you referring to the Renfroe trade? If so, Binelas and Hamilton don't have a ton of trade value. Per BTV: Dalbec 13.5 Binelas 4.9 Hamilton 5.4 Bassitt 17 Brown 3.3 Puk 2.1 Trivino 1.1 I threw Seth Brown in there just because if the Sox trade Dalbec, I'm not sure who would start at 1b for the Sox.

    I don't know if tanking is as much of a big deal in MLB as it is in NFL. The difference between the top pick and the 5th pick isn't as great as it is in other sports.

    Arroyo is cheap enough this year that you can keep him around. He's probably not a long term fit.

    He's compared to Renfroe, but I believe his defense is supposed to be much better. We liked Renfroe's arm, but the overall defensive package was lacking.

    Kenny Lofton Dwight Evans Thurman Munson Lou Whitaker Dick Allen Bill Dahlen Along with Grich, those are the top 7 guys that should be in IMO. I could make a case for Reuschel, Kevin Brown, Nettles, Buddy Bell, Tiant, Willie Randolph, Cone, Saberhagen, but they are not quite there for me. If I had a current ballot it would say: Bonds, Clemens, Schilling, Rolen, Andrew Jones, Manny, ARod, Ortiz, Sheffield, Sosa.

    I'd put Binelas after Winckowski at 14 (MLB Pipeline has him at 16). Hamilton would be after McDonough at 22.
