  1. @mlbtraderumors Rays Claim Ralph Garza, Select Chris Mazza Need to change their name to the Rayz.
  2. He spent most of his MiLB time prior to being called up as a starter. There was always a question on if he could start.
  3. C'mon down Bob Zupcic and Charlie Zink. You stood no chance.
  4. Kiké Hernandez. With JBJ, there's too many CFers.
  5. Final move of the offseason: @ChrisCotillo Red Sox DFA Eduard Bazardo and Ralph Garza. Travis Shaw and Hansel Robles make the team. Tyler Danish optioned to WooSox.
  6. Why would you put him at 1b if you already have Casas ready to be the long term 1b?
  7. I thought he'd be better than at least one of the guys mentioned, but Nate just doesn't have the long track record. Recency bias with 2021.
  8. https://www.fangraphs.com/players/bill-monbouquette/1009048/stats?position=P I never use the search feature on FanGraphs. I always just google: "playername fangraphs." That's what works for me.
  9. Which one? His love life? Or the actual car crash?
  10. No, Monbouquette had a career 31.9 fWAR. He had 4 straight seasons above 4 fWAR. Eovaldi has only been over 4 fWAR once.
  11. No, it's because Vegas can continually move lines to make sure that they don't have to pay out more than they bring in.
  12. Woo: Casas, Duran, Downs, Seabold, Fitzgerald, R Hernandez, Winckowski, Mata Port: Bello, Groome, Walter, Murphy, German, Hamilton, Howlett, Ward Green: Yorke, Rafaela, Jimenez, McDonough, Binelas, Lugo, Meatball Gang Sal: Mayer, Blaze, Winkelman, Hickey, Paulino, Kavadas, Bonaci
  13. At least when the Sox were loveable losers that they still made the playoffs every decade.
  14. Wins could also provide some value to late bulk relievers like Kopech.
  15. AAAArtmeister is what I've been told.
  16. There's a difference between being an underdog and winning the WS and being and underdog and never making the playoffs.
  17. Nate was really good last year, but he's the worst name on that list.
  18. For fantasy purposes, I don't have a problem with QS or wins per se. It's just an interesting dynamic that a guy can go 5 2/3 with 0 ER and not get a QS, but another can go 6 with 3 ER and get a QS. I'd think the former pitcher performed better than the latter.
  19. @JeffPassan BREAKING: Star third baseman José Ramirez and the Cleveland Guardians are in agreement on a five-year, $124M contract extension, sources familiar with the deal tell ESPN. Deal includes full no-trade clause. With this year and pickup of a 2023 option, Ramirez is guaranteed $150M. Bloom, time to strike on Xander and Raffy...
  20. Pushed back a day due to weather, but LFG! @SoxNotes Nathan Eovaldi would become only the 12th pitcher to make 3 consecutive Opening Day starts for the Red Sox: Jon Lester Pedro Martinez Roger Clemens Dennis Eckersley Luis Tiant Bill Monbouquette Mel Parnell Wes Ferrell Babe Ruth Smoky Joe Wood Cy Young
  21. I like net saves, but am not sold on quality starts.
  22. I was only looking at regular season numbers. Being 0-2 with 8IP and 7 ER isn't a great look though.
  23. I think I've seen Cole pitch enough times against the Sox and just look human that I don't see him as a top tier guy. Last year he had a 165 tOPS+ vs the Sox.
  24. And when will Sixto start his first game this year?
  25. WOOSox are 1-0. Fitzgerald hit a HR, 2R. Duran had 2 hits. DHern went 2 2/3. Kyle Hart was on the bump when all 5 runs scored. Holland/Kelly/Ort all pitched scoreless innings.
