  1. @GerritCole45 I was at our PA meeting in AZ and it was exciting to see solidarity this high. We had 100+ players show up and are united to protect the integrity of the game.
  2. @mlbtraderumors Tigers, Jack Lopez Agree To Minor League Deal
  3. 5/150, maybe? 10 years for that guy? Nah.
  4. His UZR/150 was worse than 9 out of 11 Alex Gordon seasons. Negative Total Zone Arm Outs Above Average. 20th in Plus/Minus Fielding Runs Above Average. 120th in Range Factor per 9. Beni catches everything that is hit to him, but he has a terrible arm and poor range.
  5. To keep him for as long as they can afford him.
  6. I figured.
  7. https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=rf&stats=fld&lg=all&qual=0&type=8&season=2021&month=0&season1=2021&ind=0&team=7&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&startdate=2021-01-01&enddate=2021-12-31 Interesting that the Royals think so little of Beni's defense that they kept him in LF and were forced to put Jorge Soler and Hunter Dozier in RF. Beni was just a poor man's replacement for Alex Gordon and that's depressing AF.
  8. I don't think it's intentional.
  9. Yeah, I don't think Hunter is a five dollar bill either. They probably have the same amount of value. Per Baseball Trade Values, a trade of Renfroe for Beni would be accepted (though Beni has slightly higher value).
  10. It'd be less infuriating to me if I was just able to forget about baseball until it comes back. Enjoy your vacation.
  11. For the ranking to not even go up one spot, kinda gives away the game on Keith Law. The best way to judge these rankings is to take them all and throw them in a blender. There is no one true scouting system. If Keith Law was better than everyone else, he'd have a crazy contract for the Yankees or somewhere else.
  12. fWAR Player A previous 5 years: 4.8, 8.3, 5.3, 10.4, 6.6 fWAR Player B previous 5 years: 5.1, 1.6, 3.1, 0.8, 5.8 Only one of those guys earned a 300M contract and it certainly isn't player B. I don't get the hype on Correa. If I'm a GM, I'm not signing him for that much. The Sox already have Xander and I don't see Correa as an upgrade. Per fWAR, he's not.
  13. For that amount of money, you want a guy with a track record of being in the starting lineup everyday. He's not that guy.
  14. Good. WOO will need someone after Casas is called up. Maybe this guy just takes over the Meneses role in the farm?
  15. I was contributing to the discussion, not trying to say you were the one who stated he was a five dollar bill. Again, you continue to get upset about every goddamn thing on here.
  16. Beni's 2021 is basically mid 30's Mike Stanley production.
  17. Beni is not a five dollar bill. If you ignore 2018, he's an average player at best.
  18. These rankings include all players who haven't "graduated" yet, even if they are on the MLB team. You're wrong.
  19. Did everyone else's farm system improve just as much?
  20. New MLB Pipeline top 30 for the Red Sox: 1. Triston Casas 2. Jeter Downs 3. Bobby Dalbec 4. Jarren Duran 5. Bryan Mata 6. Gilberto Jimenez 7. Tanner Houck 8. Jay Groome 9. Nick Yorke 10. 22. However, to state that evaluators weren't including Whitlock is just wrong. Kiley McDaniel released his team-by-team rankings. For the Red Sox: 1. Jeter Downs, 2B, 50 FV (41) 2.
