  1. He has a cutter too, but really needs to have good location. He hasn't been very good this year.
  2. Another good stop by Devers.
  3. @TorontoStar “I’m bummed that I won’t be able to make that start,” Houck said. Ahhh, there's something you could do about it Tanner.
  4. Oh hell yeah...
  5. Yup, Nomar needed a whole PR team. Bogey just seems like a good guy.
  6. If you're trying to win, do you want a lesser guy who can play everyday or a better guy who has to sit out half the time and has a s*** attitude?
  7. The "BOSTON" jerseys are great. On one hand, I'd like to see them more. On the other hand, I'm glad they save them for special occasions.
  8. Documentation of Rocket's roid rage is important actually.
  9. The issue wasn't that he didn't play, but that he sat on the bench with a poopy face while the rest of the team was on the top step rooting on the team.
  10. I guess they started rolling out pregame shows for some franchises last June. Seemed to be a missed opportunity in the past.
  11. MLB.TV showing the pregame show.
  12. Yes, ultimately it's up to him.
  13. I believe same issue with Sale (if he wasn't on IL already). Do we know of any other guys that will miss the TOR series?
  14. Could earn a bigger payday with some meaningful October AB's.
  15. Since 2018, his lowest OPS+ was 126, which is still higher than Nomar's 121.
  16. Rather than having 50 different posts about whenever someone goes on the IL, I figured just make one thread to rule them all. Without further ado: @mlbtraderumors Red Sox Place Kevin Plawecki On Covid IL So, adieu to the hopes for a COVID free Sox season.
  17. I always get nervous when the lineups are out, first pitch is an hour away and the game thread hasn't yet been posted.
  18. It really started off with him making a mess in his diaper in Spring Training that year.
  19. 118 OPS+ and 121 WRC+ for Nomar with Sox in 2004 131 OPS+ and 127 WRC+ for Xander in 2022
  20. After the SI cover, he was never the same player again. Xander is a better fielder and hitter in 2022 than Nomar was in 2004.
  21. I don't think many use k/ip, it's k/9 which seems more tangible to me.
  22. Not to be a broken record, but it's the k and bb rates that tell me how JBJ is playing. Career: 25.8% k, 9.0% bb 2021: 30.8% k, 6.5% bb (worse k and bb rates of his career) 2022: 19.2% k, 11.5% bb (best k and bb rates of his career SSS) The hits really aren't falling in but his Soft/Med/Hard contact rate is 0/72/28. He's making decent contact. The hits will come.
  23. Now do the thing you did last time Verdugo.
  24. Correa being kinda s***** this season makes me happy.
