  1. Yes and they still figured it out! Amazing!
  2. Reminder, when Story heard that he needed to get a shot to play in Toronto, he just got the shot.
  3. The rumor I heard was Xander.
  4. Wade Boggs prior to Margo Adams scandal breaking: 51.7 fWAR, 7.4 average fWAR per season. Wade Boggs post Margo Adams scandal breaking: 36.6 fWAR, 3.3 average fWAR per season.
  5. When you're a second too late on posting...
  6. Nobody look up Wade Boggs from 83-89. It totally doesn't diminish my argument about Nomar.
  7. That's why I said "prior to Mookie." Mookie was better for sure. Nomar's peak was the best for any Sox player between Yaz prime and Mookie prime.
  8. Again, I will state for the record that I believe baseball players are generally the dumbest of the 5 big sports (including Football, Other Football, Basketball and Hockey).
  9. Because instead of looking like a dope who is refusing to play in Toronto, he could just say "I cannot take the vaccine because of my severe allergy. If there was an accommodation, I wouldn't miss the series."
  10. @PeteAbe No other #RedSox players have tested positive, Alex Cora said after the game.
  11. If that was the case, we would have heard about it.
  12. Prior to Mookie Betts, he was the greatest every day Red Sox player I've seen. His 4 year stretch from 97-00 could be in the conversation for the best stretch of any red sox player since Yaz (67-70). He was a beloved player who could handle an up the middle position. He was the face of the franchise through 2003. For better or worse, the worm turned in 2004. Nomar got his ring, but wasn't around for the celebration. I don't think you can talk about his legacy and ignore led to him leaving Boston. It's the same for Fisk, Boggs, Clemens, Betts...
  13. We may see some AAA guys make their MLB debut sooner than we anticipated.
  14. There are much worse ideas TBH.
  15. Making up for last year.
  16. It's not just this team. A's had 3 guys out too.
  17. On day 1 in Spring Traning, training staff most likely told all the unvaxxed players that they would need to be vaxxed in order to play in Toronto this year. Anyone now saying "I wish I could play there" is just full of it. Part of your job is to play in Toronto. The requirements of playing in Toronto include vaccinations. Just get it for the good of your team or don't pretend like you really want to play.
  18. 101 mph fastballs are typically easy to hit.
  19. I was hopeful that Crawford's STUFF would play up in the pen. Alas...
  20. Travis Shaw signed a 1 year / $1,500,000 contract with the Boston Red Sox, including $1,500,000 guaranteed.
  21. Hit the gym Arroyo.
  22. That's some slide.
  23. Ball 4 for the robo ump. Human umps tend to give pitchers a little extra room on the outside.
