  1. He's only had one professional season. Can't say Bailey's a sham if Tolle isn't ready after 18 MilB starts.
  2. Boras doesn't let his guys even communicate with former teammates when they are FA. I'm sure Bregman isn't allowed to saying anything.
  3. I'm not so sure. We've heard a lot of noise about the offseason work of Early. We've heard nothing about Harrison. More likely he's traded than in the rotation.
  4. If Breslow is gone after exactly 4 years, the org is toast.
  5. What is the cost of a ticket today in comparison to 2003? Depending on the game, bleacher seats can be $69-76 face value now. Field box goes up to $307. While his payroll has doubled, fans are definitely paying more than double to go see the Sox.
  6. The real zag: sign all the low exit velo guys with horrible launch angles. Find every pitcher than can't break 90. Load up and save!
  7. So when I think "upcycle" which is the original word used, I assumed it was more room for growth, not that they'd stay at a 89-91 win team going forward. If they just bumped up to a newer level, that's something else. I think we are all projecting our personal beliefs of the FO onto what the next few years will be. Right now, I'm down own the ownership, so I'm really hesitant to be super high on their chances for becoming a 95 win team and competing with the big boys just yet. To me, they are still an also ran for the forseable future even if they sign Bregman.
  8. Tolle has one MLB caliber pitch right now. He's not even a capable rotation guy yet. Calling him a top 4 pitcher in the AL in '26 is a little much TBH.
  9. I'd have all MLB contracts needed to be signed by the end of the Winter Meetings. Anything after that would be a non-guaranteed MiLB contract.
  10. I also just like his pitch mix better.
  11. This has been suggested, but I don't know how it'd be implemented.
  12. 1. Devers didn't throw any teammate under the bus. Find the quote. Show us. It never happened. 2. Most people don't know how billionaires work "but let ME break it down for you." Listen to yourself. 3. Feel free to expect them to spend now. When they don't and still stay outside the top 5 going forward, don't be made at the circle-jerk of people who have been mad at JH ever since they traded Betts. If that is the Original Sin of modern Red Sox fandom, so be it. Until the Red sox get back to a team that spends like they used to, I don't want to hear about projections that they will eventually spend again. They haven't spent in that manner the past 6 years and they don't seem like they are going in that direction this year either.
  13. And yet 2011-2014 doesn't match any CBO's timeline?
  14. 89.5 wins? I can't guess that until the roster is ready. Too soon for me to say.
  15. If inside the Sox, someone who doesn't know the actual amount IMO. Someone outside Breslow's circle of trust. Maybe Breggie's agent leaked it to get another team to increase their bid?
  16. Well, I was sitting here working on my Crochet, drinking Sweet Brown Coffey while singing a Song and couldn't Delay my decision any longer. Thought you Hicks caught me in a Webb, huh? Wehunt Gray and White Falcon here. Is that a good enough Story for you? Moran...
  17. Nothing has been confirmed. Sox don't leak that stuff.
  18. Other than them winning in 2013, they failed in this 4 year period. Huh? 2011 - missed playoffs by one game. 90 wins! More than 2025! 2012 - hired Valentine and blew up the team 2013 - won the WS 2014 - Aside from Lester and Lackey, they didn't have another competent starting pitcher, both were traded at the deadline. Half of the offense was a AAA lineup at one point. It was clearly a transition year with all the in season promotions and running JBJ out there for a full season while he hit under 200. They had no intention of winning that year. I don't know about your 4 year cycle thing. Very arbitrary endpoints IMO.
  19. Fantasy booking it, don't extend injured Sale! Trade him ASAP. Bloom had offers to take on the full contract. Then deal JD. He was gone soon enough anyway. Keep everyone else until '22 when you make a call on blowing it up or extending some guys (Eovaldi, Xander).
  20. Where would the Sox be without Story and Masa!
  21. The Sox would have been able to solve their 2b/SS issues internally... 😶
  22. It remains to be seen if it's an upcycle or if they are just a WC contender every few years now. I'd rather they be a WS contender every few years like they once were.
  23. They are banging down the door to trade for him. It's why he's been in trade rumors for over a year and is still on the team.
