  1. What he has to do is just keep a few players around that fans can root for. If he just signed even one guy (Raffy) for his whole career, it'd ease a lot of the tension.
  2. One thing I hate about Sox fans is how they just love to tell others how they should be as fans. YOU'RE NOT A TRUE FAN! ONLY I AM A TRUE FAN! Our brains are broken. We are all Sox fans. Some of us clearly have Stockholm Syndrome. Let's try to be better about not telling others to stop rooting for the Red Sox, please...
  3. Currently photoshopping Mark Davis' hair onto John Henry's head.
  4. File under it could always be worse: @custom_baseball #OTD in 1980, the Boston #RedSox made a monumental mistake, accidentally letting blue chips Fred Lynn and Carlton Fisk's contracts to expire. Lynn should be traded Jan. 23, 1981 to the #Angels for Jim Dorsey, Joe Rudi & Frank Tanana. Fisk signed with the #WhiteSox Mar. 18, 1981.
  5. It's how you get the high grade bullfrog.
  6. Will Bleis even be a Red Sox by the time the Sun consumes the Earth?
  7. I'm just asking questions!
  8. It's baseball solstice, halfway between the final out of the WS and the first pitch of ST. Sox still have big questions surrounding: 1. Will there be an addition to the rotation? 2. What do do about 2b/ss/cf? 3. Will Verdugo really be the fulltime RF? 4. Catcher acquisition was a big priority initially, are they still going to get one? 5. Raffy extension or trade?
  9. At this point, why even be invested in Casas if he's just going to be somewhere else in 2028?
  10. Even participating by watching at a bar helps out ownership IMO. The only way to really stick it to them is complete apathy.
  11. Let me fix that for you.
  12. Buchholz stole laptops and Jay Groome's dad...
  13. He started off strong with the Pivetta deal, but really sucked balls after that.
  14. Honestly, Lester wasn't as bad as Mookie or Xander.
  15. Gee, I wonder why someone would be negative about this team right now...
  16. Confusion about the Verdugo story? I’m not sure. The Sox previously had Urbina, Cordero and Wright. Plus the clubhouse attendant…
  17. It’s not letting SOME go, they are letting ALL of them go.
  18. That's the Atlanta Braves model. Acuna 8/100 Albies 7/35 Riley 10/212 Strider 6/75 Olson 8/168 Harris 8/72
  19. The opt out year only favors the player and offers no safety valve for the team. Better that the Sox just add in extra money and not put the option in.
  20. The OPEN MARKET doesn't factor into the early career extensions at all.
  21. Not sure what it was like where you were posting, but people on here were relatively hopeful about 2013. I don't think they saw a WS, but many predicted a WC birth. I can't say the same for 2023 right now.
  22. Maybe it's just because you are naive, but you should have thought of that.
  23. I'm always excited for baseball, but the team would need to show me what it's got before I go all in.
