  1. Was that one confirmed?
  2. Unfortunately, at that age, they are all long shots, even the expensive ones.
  3. Ah, I didn't remember Story being a QO guy.
  4. Ok, so if there's an injury, you're calling up a guy who has question marks behind the plate rather than someone that can at least call a game? If we knew his bat could play, maybe it'd make sense, but he wasn't really lighting the world on fire last season. He has the potential/tools to be a good Catcher, but just has never really developed.
  5. Ask harmony. Ben Badler's tweet may be a misspelling or he may share the same name as the prospect in the Mariners system. https://www.milb.com/player/wuilliams-rodriguez-805777
  6. A listing of projected signings: https://www.soxprospects.com/international.htm
  7. @BenBadler Boston Red Sox sign RHP Wuilliams Rodríguez from Venezuela
  8. Well, you're wrong because he's NOT the 3rd Catcher. I'm not sure if Bloom even sees him as a Catcher. They are giving him every opportunity to catch, but he's not very good at it. He was only called up in an emergency situation last year because he was on the 40 man. Now that he's not on the 40 man, there's no reason to call him up. If you are calling up a guy as a defensive replacement, it's typically a glove first guy that can call a game. Ronaldo can't do that. He just can't. He's a bat first Catcher who only OPS'd 750 in AAA. They aren't putting him back on the 40 man.
  9. Caleb Hamilton is the 3rd Catcher. If they need someone else, they grab them off someone else's MiLB squad.
  10. How?
  11. It should be.
  12. No chance is he brought up. He'd have to be absolutely mashing and learning how to really Catch.
  13. Yes it is. Case in point... @MacCerullo Christian Arroyo has spent seven stints on the injured list since coming to Boston, which have disrupted what has otherwise been a successful tenure with the #RedSox. If there’s ever a year for him to stay healthy though, this is it.
  14. And not the big bopper types of yore.
  15. It'll be sooner.
  16. Profar is LF only profile at this point unless he's being signed as a backup UTIL. I don't think he's a starting 2B for any serious team.
  17. We only see Rafaela sooner than later if he refines his approach at the plate. He's just not a patient hitter. He'll look like the bad version of JBJ.
  18. I'm saying that it SHOULDN'T be Verdugo. They may go with him out there but it will be UGLY.
  19. I think the Red Sox try to spread their money out rather than just get a couple of prospects. Cast a wide net so to speak.
  20. It was to make fun of all the other posts that can’t stop making that one joke.
  21. Don't remember if I've actually seen Paulino highlights before: https://twitter.com/Hunter_Noll/status/1613992796175880192
  22. Sox avoided arbitration with all remaining players: According to MassLive.com’s Chris Cotillo, the Red Sox will pay Pivetta $6.3 million, Brasier $2 million, McGuire $1.225 million, Arroyo $2 million, and Verdugo $6.3 million
  23. You like McGuire's D?!?!?!? I can't believe you just said that?!?!?!? Gufaw gufaw gufaw... His defense is good though.
  24. This is the insight you get with a premium membership to TalkSox.
  25. If Winckowski can't get his strike out numbers up, he's not going to be useful for a team that wants to be competitive. He's a right handed Wade Miley.
