  1. I guess I try to separate the "you like Bloom/you hate Bloom" and the "you are a bad fan" conversations. Maybe the second part was white noise to me?
  2. No. That's just really bad logic.
  3. That's grounds for immediate execution in my county.
  4. I guess... I just never bought into the pink hat nonsense back in the day. Fans are fans. People cheer in different ways, but it doesn't make them any less happy or sad at the end of a game. There's just no right way to be a fan and that's ok. If you had to state something definitively, the perfect distillation of a fan would be a 10 year old, drinking a soda and yelling that a pitch was too high from 400'+ away. And I don't think we want 4th and 5th graders posting on here, because they are even more annoying than these old guys.
  5. So? You clearly aren't going to change his opinion. Use your considerable posting energy to put good into the world instead.
  6. It would take just one of them to put the other on ignore for our quality of life to dramatically improve around here. They should have both been put on timeout by now IMO.
  7. So yeah, you're at fault 100%. Critiquing someone else's fandom is just weird behavior.
  8. The surprise is that these guys are holding out for deals that aren't going to materialize. I guess they'll just sit out for a while?
  9. So? You're not going to change his mind. Why get upset about the nicknames? Why constantly defend Bloom when you admit he's made bad moves? Just move on and find another post to talk about.
  10. I would say that the majority of RED SOX NATION still has no idea who he is. Most of the reporters that will be at ST have never seen him before in person.
  11. Oh, that framing always reminds me of PEDRO CIRIACO. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/1104858-spring-training-2012-pedro-ciriaco-making-the-most-out-of-an-opportunity
  12. ERC wasn't invited to big league camp. If we are talking about minors camp, I think there will be lots of guys following Bleis this year. I was also trying to go for guys not included on the 40 man. Would be nice to have another OF option in Abreu. We'll see how he rebounds. He struggled in the AFL from what I remembered.
  13. I just have a funny feeling that if we had more mod activity around these parts that this beef would have been squashed a long time ago.
  14. So he doesn't like when players struggle or are hurt a lot? I'm shocked!
  15. 1. Having Mookie for his full career seems cool. 2. The Dombo alt history is hilarious. They have max deals for Javy Baez, Correa, Turner AND Devers! How? IDK! Henry wouldn't let Dombo even sign Betts without the other guys. How would he get all the others? Maybe in this fiction Dombo had Henry whacked? Is Betts around or no? MIKE Wacha as a World Series hero? Wow. Who are the other pitchers?
  16. There's always a portion of the Blame Pie that has to be handed out. That's how we have been conditioned by talk radio in this market.
  17. It's not an unreasonable take.
  18. Sleeper: Alfaro MiLB guy that people will start to notice: Lugo
  19. Feltman’s pitching is worse now than when he was drafted.
  20. Cora said this in ST ‘19: “I still remember people thought he was going to be the savior last year when he got drafted – it’s not that easy, it’s not that easy,” Cora said. “We went through it in ’05 (with first pick Craig Hansen, who did not pan out) and he was kind of like ‘the guy’ and it didn’t turn out to be that. You’ve got to be very careful. This is still the big leagues. I don’t know if I have told you guys, my brother, he puts it in a very particular way. It’s A ball, Double A, Triple A, it’s not 4A, it’s MLB. There’s a difference. There’s a big jump from the A’s to MLB. There’s a period of adjustment.”
  21. Somewhere between Fernandez at 37 and Webb at 56? My guess is mid-40's. One site had him 44th for the ChiSox last season and Broadway 54th. Now Broadway is ranked 42nd for the Red Sox, but Denlinger had a better season last year. They were both drafted in '21 in subsequent rounds.
  22. Maybe not on whatever cesspool you posted on.
  23. https://twitter.com/Velocity_GB/status/1496260447401660418
  24. The legacy is complaining.
