  1. He has a high BB rate which makes that FIP a lot higher than you'd like to see.
  2. I know nothing about Wyatt Mills.
  3. Sox attendance hasn't dipped since Betts left (held steady at 4th out of 15 for AL), but this offseason could change that. Yes, the TOTAL attendance figure is down, but it's down across MLB.
  4. Signing Turner told me a few things: 1. Yoshida is going to be the fulltime LF 2. Verdugo is going to be the fulltime RF, unless dealt 3. Devers will be able to DH a little bit more than he has in the past 4. Dalbec is still being shopped
  5. If they wait out the market, they could maybe sign Kluber AND Eovaldi anyway.
  6. Justin Turner is a HORRIBLE 3B right now. If he's the everyday 3B, it's a bad signing. If they are signing him to DH, great.
  7. Potential future 3B's: Paulino Lugo Blaze Bonaci Salazar
  8. Red Sox fandom fell to a pretty big low around the time Boggs and Clemens left from what I remember.
  9. We really have no idea about the inner workings. It's just our biases telling us who to blame. Truthfully, they are all to blame.
  10. I think it's likely that Eovaldi comes back as that QO attachment really deflates what other teams would want to offer him. Eovaldi was dumb for not taking the QO.
  11. Yup.
  12. Top unsigned guys per FanGraphs projected fWAR: Eovaldi Kluber Wacha Smyly Duffy Miley Minor Greinke Hill Cueto Lyles Weaver Pineda Earlier, he stated that he wanted someone that could provide INNINGS and help lead the staff. Is that Kluber? Maybe? It's definitely underwhelming for the starting rotation, but I didn't really expect much from this FA class.
  13. I have a feeling that 2b might just be a rotating cast of characters: Arroyo, Valdez and whatever guys they churn through the bottom of the 40 man. Maybe they'll get a cheap FA backup like Mendick or Iggy.
  14. Everyone's power numbers went down last year. His SLG declined at about the league average. His wRC+ was better than JD's. He is just going to replace JD, play a little D and k a little less.
  15. It's an interesting legacy they are going for.
  16. Turner, Bogaerts, Correa all made sense to sign, but Swanson did not. He's not worth it IMO.
  17. Not really a surprise to me per the reasons I listed the other day.
  18. I'd give it to Theo now that LL is out of the way.
  19. @NBCSEdgeBB Report: Twins sign Gallo to one-year deal
  20. I think they liked Park and hoped to have him clear waivers. However, I heard he would have had the ability to request his release if he passed through waivers and he didn't want to go to AAA.
  21. The guy they traded was young, but not really a prospect. He was a lefty that could throw strikes but had no velo whatsoever. He was the fringiest of fringe. We will never hear of Lobo again.
  22. @ChrisCotillo Chaim Bloom wants the Red Sox to get back to signing young players to pre-arbitration extensions. Don't be surprised if they try to talk about deals with Brayan Bello, Triston Casas and others this spring. What if Chaim is using the excess payroll towards extensions?
  23. @MacCerullo The #RedSox announce they've traded Hoy Park to the Atlanta Braves for a player to be named later. Park was DFA'd earlier this week to make room on the 40-man for Kenley Jansen. The Free Wheelin' Chaim Bloom
