    If you truly have a strong farm system, you can spend less on FA. Therefore, you can keep a few of your in house guys at a premium and use your farm to supplement your holes rather than overpaying via the FA market. They just spent like 30M on the bullpen. What if that all came in house instead? Tampa is able to cheaply build pens from year to year.

    What he has to do is just keep a few players around that fans can root for. If he just signed even one guy (Raffy) for his whole career, it'd ease a lot of the tension.

    One thing I hate about Sox fans is how they just love to tell others how they should be as fans. YOU'RE NOT A TRUE FAN! ONLY I AM A TRUE FAN! Our brains are broken. We are all Sox fans. Some of us clearly have Stockholm Syndrome. Let's try to be better about not telling others to stop rooting for the Red Sox, please...

Lynn should be traded Jan. 23, 1981 to the #Angels for Jim Dorsey, Joe Rudi & Frank Tanana. Fisk signed with the #WhiteSox Mar. 18, 1981.

    It's baseball solstice, halfway between the final out of the WS and the first pitch of ST. Sox still have big questions surrounding: 1. Will there be an addition to the rotation? 2. What do do about 2b/ss/cf? 3. Will Verdugo really be the fulltime RF? 4. Catcher acquisition was a big priority initially, are they still going to get one? 5. Raffy extension or trade?

    Even participating by watching at a bar helps out ownership IMO. The only way to really stick it to them is complete apathy.
