I agree, so what's the point in using "well you don't know" as an argument? None of us know the future. None of us really have more of a clue into these players than anyone else. Do I really have that much more insight into Player X because I looked at some metrics on FanGraphs and some other poster just watched them play once on TBS? No. It's all just guess work.
At the end of the day, let's just not take this place too seriously and try to not go after each other so often.
Rotation has a decent ceiling, but a VERY LOW floor. The rotation could be absolute garbage for sure. Paxton, Sale, Kluber could all just fall off the Earth and it wouldn't be a huge shock. Bello could just have a sophomore slump. Pivetta could just be Pivetta. Yuck.
You have no clue what JD will do in '23 as he's now a year older and on further decline. Bogey is moving from an offensive friendly environment to San Diego, facing a bunch of new pitchers and may have substantial struggles this season.
Henry getting booed at winter weekend right now.
Man that was tough. John Henry, asked about the #RedSox ticket prices, "baseball players are expensive."
Loud boos in response and Sam Kennedy has to step in and rescue him after he can barely get a word in afterwards.

Yes, JD should have been traded for a low A prospect.
