    Running through potential trade options for Barnes: 1. Mets for Carasco, adds to the 2017 feel of the rotation with Sale, Paxton and Kluber! 2. Phillies for Kingery, provides additional injury insurance for Arroyo and Mondesi. 3. Rangers for Brad Miller? Yuck. 4. Rockies for Blackmon? Yuck x2.

    They legit glorified Perry back in the 80's for cheating, but what these guys did is a bridge to far? I wasn't around for Perry's heyday, but I know that Bonds was truly one of the all time greats. Yeah, I'd rather go to a museum that had Bonds, Manny, Clemens and ARod than one that has Gaylord Perry, Jim Bottomley, Chick Hafey and Harold Baines.

    Beltran's known issues are being associated with the Astros cheating scandal.

    Known cheater Gaylord Perry is in the HOF and nobody bats an eye. Everyone who played from 1987 - 2004 and beyond is a good suspect for using some sort of PED's. Impossible to parse them all out so why bother.

    I still remain positive on Barnes this season. I think he'll be a valuable arm somewhere. He won't be a late inning guy.

    It seems to me that they don't have a trade partner yet. They just feel that Brasier has the better upside.

    With Mondesi, they are just looking to find a stop gap for the year. I think they need Story to just get healthy again and play out the remainder of the contract AT 2B.

    Hall of Fame results are announced tonight. The only guys above 75% so far on public ballots are Rolen and Helton. We'll see if they can sneak in or if the remaining ballots get them under 75% again. Wagner has 71.6% and all others are below 70. My ballot would have been: Abreu Beltran Buerhle Helton Jones Manny ARod Rolen Sheffield Wagner Red Sox legends Mike Napoli, Jacoby Ellsbury, John Lackey and Bronson Arroyo have received zero votes so far. RA Dickey and Huston Street each received 1 vote so far.

    Health, he's a post-TJS guy. You can manage his innings better in the pen. His stuff can play up out there. His last fully healthy season was 2017.
