    I would say that the majority of RED SOX NATION still has no idea who he is. Most of the reporters that will be at ST have never seen him before in person.

    ERC wasn't invited to big league camp. If we are talking about minors camp, I think there will be lots of guys following Bleis this year. I was also trying to go for guys not included on the 40 man. Would be nice to have another OF option in Abreu. We'll see how he rebounds. He struggled in the AFL from what I remembered.

Henry wouldn't let Dombo even sign Betts without the other guys. How would he get all the others? Maybe in this fiction Dombo had Henry whacked? Is Betts around or no? MIKE Wacha as a World Series hero? Wow. Who are the other pitchers?

You’ve got to be very careful. This is still the big leagues. I don’t know if I have told you guys, my brother, he puts it in a very particular way. It’s A ball, Double A, Triple A, it’s not 4A, it’s MLB. There’s a difference. There’s a big jump from the A’s to MLB. There’s a period of adjustment.”

    Somewhere between Fernandez at 37 and Webb at 56? My guess is mid-40's. One site had him 44th for the ChiSox last season and Broadway 54th. Now Broadway is ranked 42nd for the Red Sox, but Denlinger had a better season last year. They were both drafted in '21 in subsequent rounds.

    @IanCundall Red Sox announced they acquired RHP Theo Denlinger from CWS for Franklin German. Denlinger is listed at 6-3, 255 & was drafted in the 7th rd. in 2021. In 2022 in A+/AA: 48.1 IP, 4.47 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, 66 K:21 BB. He’s also a blacksmith & has a workshop w/a forge outside his house. I see this as an absolute win.

    2016 starting pitcher in-season deals: Padres also dealt Cashner at the deadline and he had a 6+ ERA for the Marlins. Mariners dealt Miley and he had a 6+ ERA for the O's down the stretch. Rays dealt Matt Moore and he was decent for SFG, but they massively overpaid for him (Duffy the 2015 ROY runner up along with their 4th and 24th ranked prospects). Rich Hill and Josh Reddick (OAK) for Montas, Cotton and Holmes (LAD). Hill pitched fantastic for the Dodgers with a 1.83 ERA, but only had one start for them prior to September due to a finger blister. Pirates traded Francisco Liriano in a salary dump deal and he had a solid 2.92 ERA for what that deal was. Yankees traded Ivan Nova for 2 PTBNL and he was outstanding 1.9 fWAR and 3.06 ERA afterwards.
