  1. Do you closely follow this team's MILB system?
  2. That's what they've said on multiple fluff pieces I've read, with varying timelines in or around the 15th.
  3. Bro, we're having a decent baseball discussion here. We know they've been bad on defense, but discussing how bad is a pertinent topic of discussion here.
  4. So we can't talk baseball related topics on this baseball internet forum? News to me. Also, don't care for or about your eye test, thanks.
  5. 22nd in OAA with -13, per fangraphs
  6. They're 25th in UZR, per fangraphs, and 26th aggregate defensive value. What fangraphs are you using?
  7. They've been bad, but not even bottom 5. Easy on the hyperbole.
  8. So like a Bizarro DD? Good bullpen, awful rotation?
  9. That's the wrong question. The right one is: Has he ever been happy about anything regarding this team?
  10. What do you even mean by this?
  11. Sure, but attacking his character is something else entirely. It's not surprising he keeps getting injured being so tall and heavy though, just like Stanton.
  12. Well people want this team to compete right now. The more I look at this roster, the less I think it's plausible. They have a possibly great offense as some of their younger guys can keep improving, and Story may get back to near-career offensive levels, and their BP is serviceable, but they have neither effective nor dependable starting pitching. That's why they shouldn't have sold any important players or prospects to lightly boost what we all know is a flawed roster. It's also not about money, as they have always shown a willingness to spend, making that argument nonsense. They need to revamp and rebuild the SP, and focus on next year with a more cohesive roster. Letting the current one ride out the year is fine though.
  13. From The Athletic, from a source actually inside the clubhouse and not just making stuff up on the internet.
  14. I very much disagree. Paxton had barely pitched in the last, what, 4 seasons? On a side note, I don't expect much from any of the 3 pitchers coming back, but by sheer probability, at least one of them should stay healthy and not suck.
  15. I also said after the TDL that I'm fine with them not standing pat. This was a weird TDL and market. Their best trade chips were Duvall and Paxton, who I now think would not have brought enough to justify trading. They probably hold more value to this team than others, because other teams are not stupid, and they know Paxton is an injury waiting to happen and Duvall hasn't been the same since the injury (but he's been better of late).
  16. Is this supposed to be funny?
  17. While funny, your take on Aaron Judge is BS.
  18. It's like a nursery in here.
  19. This team should have like 70 wins then.
  20. So you're saying he realized spending money like a drunken sailor does not guarantee the success of an MLB team? I can't believe it!
  21. A paragon of virtue. Throwing a perfect game could not have happened to a nicer guy.
  22. I moved a meeting with a client to Saturday morning for this BS.
  23. DD is not the guy to build a team up, he's the guy to take them over the top.
  24. The point is, Pivetta has been pretty inconsistent. But who knows, maybe he's turned a corner?
