  1. No one has stated otherwise. Please read.
  2. Jacko, please take the time to read the quoted posts. Take them to heart. Stop the bias and the homerism, because it's getting ridiculous.
  3. The only one making this "injury-risk" assessment is you. And it's pretty ridiculous. He looked good and had his velocity back. You're making a big deal out of nothing to suit your argument. By those standards then both Burnett and Pettite are huge "?" but you refuse to admit it. You can't have it both ways.
  4. All points indicate towards the vesting options counting towards the AAV of players, since every contract with vesting options i've investigated has the options set up in a way that it won't alter the AAV of the contract (Jon Lester is an example). So is Magglio: Magglio Ordonez (75/5) with both vesting options (108/7) which average out to 15 and 15.4 million respectively. Lackey's conditional option contradicts this though.
  5. Source: Daniel Barbarisi. Signing Bay would be money matter for Red Sox.
  6. Mariners acquire Bard and Cordero!!!!!!! Hellacious bullpen!!!!!!! Josh Bard and Chad Cordero.
  7. It is a big deal, old timer.
  8. It's official. DeRosa passed his physical. DeRosa deal with Giants confirmed, physical done.
  9. As is stated before, there is no significant talent return in a salary dump, and Mike Dunn might be closing in Atlanta in 2011, but the prize of the three is obviously Vizcaino. 97+ MPH fastballs don't grow on trees. I like you.
  10. Jacko, after he came back from his "tired shoulder" issues (Lol WBC) he had the best velocity he exhibited since mid-2008 and much better command. The issue here is not that he's a "Bit of a ?????" but you're overplaying the ????? into a ???????????????????????????????. He might need some time off during the season, but he looked healthy at the end of last year, so i don't see why he's going to be magically injured at the beginning of 2010.
  11. It's laughable for you as a Yankee fan. In Andy Pettite's 27-32 seasons he compiled the following numbers: 27: 4.70 ERA, 1.49 WHIP 28: 4.35 ERA, 1.46 WHIP 29: 3.99 ERA, 1.32 WHIP 30: 3.27 ERA, 1.30 WHIP 31: 4.02 ERA, 1.33 WHIP 32: 3.90 ERA, 1.22 WHIP In his 27-30 seasons, Lackey has had one season with a WHIP over 1.27 and one season with an ERA over 3.80. Bias is funny.
  12. As usual, Mr. Strawman cops out in legendary fashion. Nice try.
  13. Agreed. In fact, last year, Papelbon was much more dominant than he should have been, seeing as how he basically removed his out pitch from his arsenal.
