  1. Plus Delmon young and Lastings Milledge all wrapped together in the same package.
  2. Actually, he got drafted and first signed by Tampa, who tired of his ********. In comes Bowden.
  3. Hell, i'm going the Gom way, no trades yet, i just want to be offered some good deals. On the block: Brad Hawpe Nick Swisher Adam Dunn JD Drew Torii Hunter Stephen Drew Jason Bartlett. Want: Good players.
  4. JD Drew got on base at a .392 clip last year, Mike Cameron got on base at a .342 clip, both hit over 20 HR's and over 30 2B's. For your information, an auto-out is a guy who doesn't get on base, and getting on base is exactly one of the things JD Drew and Mike Cameron have been known to excel at during their careers. Funny enough, the one knock on Reddick is that he's a free-swinger whose approach would not translate well to getting on base in the Major Leagues. *sigh*
  5. JD Drew 2009 stats: .279/ .392/ .522 .914 OPS (Top 10 in the Major Leagues for OF with enough AB's to qualify for the batting title) 24 HR/30 2B,Excellent defense in Right. Mike Cameron 2009 stats: .250 /.342 /.452 .795 OPS 24 HR/32 2B, Excellent Defense in Center. Jeremy Hermida 2009 stats: .259/.348/.392 .740 OPS, 13 HR, 14 2B, Horrible Defense Wherever you put him. Josh Reddick 2009 stats: Lol. Really sir?
  6. Not "Good", "Great". I don't like Scutaro. But the possibility of getting him was a reality, unlike Hanley or Tulo, which are pipe dreams. And by the way, even though Gonzales will be better defensively, no way his offense measures up to what Scutaro's capable of doing. Scutaro's not an offensive "Threat" but at least he's not an auto-out.
  7. It's a backup SS. Gil Velasquez can get it done in the meantime.
  8. I thought we were talking about the 2007 playoffs. No idea how Ortiz' blast against him entered the conversation......
  9. They hit him in game 2, but not like they did in game 6.
  10. There's absolutely no reason for him to start the season with the team regardless of Lowrie's health.
  11. So when we traded Hanley to the Marlins, they signed a contract with the Sox saying they had to trade him back with us if we wanted him again? Because that's the only the Marlins trade Hanley imo. And no, that's not what you said about Gonzales, and i can look it up if you want me to.
  12. Just did. Second most humorous thing.
  13. Why would Lowell start the season on the DL? And by the way, having Iglesias with the Red Sox instead of giving him sorely needed repetitions at the lower levels is probably the dumbest thing the Sox could do.
  14. Need: Solid starting pitcher. On the block: Nick Swisher, Brad Hawpe.
  15. *sigh* With added effect.
  16. Aces.
  17. Casey Kelly's not going anywhere.
  18. Ah, such pain. There was simply no way anyone else was going to take JD over me. 'tis done.
