Exactly. It is what it is. He just took a shot calling Tazawa "overhyped". He gets called out on it, immediately backpedals. Fantastic.

Concerns about Bowden (specially his stamina) are legit. But Tazawa was by all accounts, a rookie to professional baseball. Step back might be a bit harsh, because he wasn't ready to be in the Majors in the first place.

Not to mention they've got the longest WS drought of any team not named the Chicago Cubs. And with this year's club, thei recent "Success" doesn't matter. If they make the playoffs by miracle, they'll be cannon fodder for a club from another division.

If you want to be taken seriously, say stuff that makes sense: 1) The Guardians ain't winning jack s***. 2) The AL Central is probably the most unimportant division in baseball. (Enter angry comment from Minnesota Twins or chicago White Sox fan here)

You know how bad i wanted Gonzales, but i think Westmoreland was not the hold-up to that deal happening.

I think Hall's getting AB's at RF when the matchup is against a particularly tough lefty. Hermida is not good against LHP, which is why Hall's ability to play the OF is very important. Hermida lifetime vs LHP: .697 OPS Hall lifetime vs LHP: .810 OPS. If Drew goes down for some time, then you have the perfect platoon in Hermida/Hall. And Drew's gonna go down for some time, and half the board's gonna go apeshit about it.

Let's analyze this point by point: First, your math is wrong. Can you give me one logical reason why you would consider Tug Hulett a better Major Leaguer than Bill Hall? Hall has better positional flexibility. Hall has a lot more ML experience, and of course, better stats than Hulett's SSS. Hall is a pull-happy RHH at Fenway.

Never said i'd go on to bash him myself. What the statement means is that it rubs people the wrong way and then the epic battles similar to the 300 movie happen. It is what it is.
