  1. Mark Buehrle, Yadier Molina, Freddy Sanchez, Grady Sizemore, Evan Longoria, Nick Punto. I used to love Mark Grace. From what little I've seen of him, I think I would have liked Jimmy Key a lot. Same with Will Clark.
  2. To me, Neshek is low risk/high reward. His motion is violent and could lead to arm problems. He's having Tommy John surgery right now. But he was durable in the Minors, and I expect him to come back strong next year. He's like a lesser known Rafael Soriano.
  3. Pat Neshek - RP
  4. Why didn't I get credit for Dan Haren's last quality start?
  5. Wilson adds depth to my team. In my opinion, the two most important defensive positions are catcher and shortstop. I now have backups for both. If I had one more bench slot, I would have picked up someone who can steal a base on command. I'll just have to get some fast Minor Leaguers.
  6. Jack Wilson - Bench
  7. I'd say Michael Young is a pretty damn good value pick at this point.
  8. You would have put in Papelbon with a 4-run lead to start the 8th inning? Really? I'm with Gom on this one. Can't blame Tito at all for this loss.
  9. No way. I felt bad for her. She looked like she was in a lot of pain.
  10. He blows. Two WS titles in the last 5 years is pathetic. Bring back Grady Little!
  11. I think this shows that UZR is slightly flawed. Ellsbury is easily one of the best center fielders in the game today. Maybe he was penalized for his arm.
  12. Fixed that for you.
  13. When you talk about what Bonds did while he was on steroids with reverence... of course someone will bring it up. It's only logical. Speaking of juicing, a guy on my brother's summer team who roomed with Hank Blalock once upon a time in the Minors said Blalock juiced.
  14. Buehrle didn't pitch particularly well, but he was squeezed a few times at the plate. Definitely some pitches that should have gone his way.
  15. Eh, I'd give the edge to DeRosa. He's had an OPS+ over 100 the last 3 seasons. Going on 4 this year. Can't say the same for Teahen. Though going forward because of his age, Teahen is more valuable. They're both excellent utility players, though. Anyways, this really sticks it to the Cubs and Hendry. I hope DeRosa puts the Cards over the top, the Cubs don't win the division, and Hendry gets fired as a result. I despise Hendry about as much as Gom despises Cashman.
  16. Drop Gardner and pick up someone else. There are a handful of guys who would be upgrades over him.
  17. I don't think Bryce Harper is a legit pick, either. He hasn't been drafted yet.
  18. Mark Teahen - Bench
  19. McClellan is a solid pick. I was going to go with him in the next round. Needed a utility player. Mark Teahen fits the bill. Can play both corner outfield positions, a little center field, third base, first base, and a little second base. Plus, he's only 27, so he should be entering his prime.
  20. Yeah, that actually would have been a decent trade for the Celtics.
  21. Now, all we need is for Jacko to throw away two more picks and we're back in business.
  22. You might be right. I've got another southpaw in mind, though.
  23. Feliciano is a pretty good reliever. Has some control problems occasionally, but makes up for it with a fairly high K per 9. One of the better lefties left on the board. His age (32) may be a concern, though. You never know how long these guys are gonna last.
