  1. Look forward to it. May the best (hottest) team win.
  2. WE CAN TELL YOU'RE NEW AT THIS.
  3. True, but them's the breaks. I didn't have Ethier or Konerko in my lineup when they each hit 3 HRs in a game. Albeit your situation is a little different, as you were planning on starting Burnett.
  4. Haha, Buehrle kind of stole his thunder.
  5. I was wondering why you didn't start Burnett. It all equals out. I'm getting Haren's worst start of the year right now.
  6. So f***ing cool. Brian Anderson's demotion was the best thing that ever happened to Mark Buehrle.
  7. I think Gardenhire is actually pretty decent. Makes the most with what he's got. They compete every year in the AL Central. Would someone like Tito put them over the top? I don't think so.
  8. Wait, Dutchy got banned? When did this happen?
  9. Fo sho, although I'm still into it.
  10. Allegations of racism are pretty bunk sometimes. For instance, Ozzie Guillen was just sent a ton of emails accusing him of being racist for sending Brian Anderson down to Triple-A. Not sure I follow the logic on that one...
  11. Omar Minaya needs to get his head examined.
  12. Because if there's one thing the Mets don't need to address, it's starting pitching.
  13. Drew Stubbs, MiLB
  14. Took Cano too early. Could have got a real good first baseman instead. Took Blackburn one round too early. Could have got Kurt Suzuki as my backup catcher. And although I like what Willingham brings to the table offensively, Franklin Gutierrez might have been a better pick based on his stellar defense in center and upside.
  15. Bergesen will be my fall back starter, in case someone goes down or is struggling. He's got a lot of Nick Blackburn in him. Pitches to contact, good command, could eat up a lot of innings. Doesn't have a real high ceiling, but I like his poise at the age of 23. The fact that he's been effective so far in the AL East is a credit to his ability.
  16. Brad Bergesen, MiLB
  17. Ben Revere, MiLB
  18. Pena blows, but I remember him making the sickest play at short a few years ago. Reminds me of Ronny Cedeno. He made an Ozzie Smith-esque barehand grab at short in Spring Training last year.
  19. Fenway is a great venue for the Winter Classic. Looking forward to it.
  20. At this point, Greinke is running away with it. But Halladay will be putting the pressure on him all season long. The Jackson gripe is legit. Buehrle should also be getting more votes than Beckett.
  21. How the f*** does Jonathan Sanchez flirt with a perfect game? Oh right, he was facing the Padres. Still, gotta tip your cap to the kid.
  22. MVP: I'd say it's a tie between Hanley and Mark Reynolds. ANTI-MVP: Alexei Ramirez. Got off to a horrible start. I went through a lot of second baseman before I was comfortable using Alexei on an everyday basis. CY Young: No-brainer. Dan Haren. Every start but 1 has been a quality start. His WHIP is 0.826. His K/BB is 7.93! Anti-Cy Young: Carlos Marmol. The 10.1 Ks per 9 innings is nice and all, but 8.9 BBs per 9 innings? Seriously? Best pick: Pablo Sandoval. A pleasant surprise. Worst pick: Manny Parra. Thought he could build off last year. Thought wrong.
