  1. I’m not sure how to feel about this. He’s 36, struggled in AL East before with Yankees and wasn’t exactly great last season. he is however durable and eats inning.
  2. 30 year old whose been released or DFA’d by White Sox, A’s, Marlins and Pirates? What a pick up!
  3. I don’t get what Clase was thinking. He’s already a star player making millions and he’s risking his career for thousands? Unless he was in some deep s*** and being blackmailed this makes no sense
  4. Trading Casas makes no sense to me. His value around the league get be high and the odds of getting anything valuable is so low that you might as well just keep him at this point and hope he bounces back. It’s not like it’s hurt the team financially to hold onto him
  5. No chance? Mets have the 2nd highest payroll in MLB and Marlins have won two World Series more recently than teams like the Mets. Arizona was just in the World Series a few years ago and also won more recently than Mets. Royals? Also won a ring in 2010s. Colorado, Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Cincy don’t even really try to be competitive.
  6. I think a bigger issue than the Dodgers, who are willing to spend money and also draft amazing is the teams who don’t even try to compete or spend money. Reds have Hunter Green signed through 2029 for relatively cheap and just made the playoffs. They put him on trade block this off season to try and save money. I went to their stadium and paid $13 for a beer and $6 for a water. They want me to pay those prices but don’t want to pay their ace? And we know Elly De La Cruz is likely going to get moved at some points. Tigers have a generational ace and are somehow $250 million dollars APART in negotiations? and don’t get me started on the teams like Pirates and Marlins who have jokes in control of their teams. Creating a salary cap won’t “save” baseball and the Dodgers didn’t ruin baseball. In leagues with salary caps, the teams with bad ownership are still bad and there is a lot of repeats/same champions in those leagues. A salary cap isn’t helping NFL and NBA get too much parity or helping teams with awful ownership like Cleveland Browns or Washington Wizards compete.
  7. I thought they might give it to Ohtani for obvious reasons but Yamamoto deserved it. Dude was absolutely amazing
  8. That was one of the best games and series I’ve watched in awhile. Incredible entertainment
  9. Yes, because Ohtani was able to carry Mike Trout to many playoff appearances right? The Dodgers have a great roster, but part of the greatness is Mookie Betts and his amazing ability and willingness to play different positions. How many players can even physically make the move to change positions to SS at age 33? Trade still sucks, and Mookie having a down year with 5 WAR and playing in the World Series again isn’t making them look smarter or making anyone happier.
  10. A “bad year” for him is appearing in his 3 World Series with dodgers and putting up an almost 5 WAR.
  11. I could barely stay up for that game as it lasted till almost 3 am, but what an insane game. Ohtani was on base NINE times last night. 4-4 with 2 homers and 2 doubles and then was intentionally walked his last 5 plate appearances. Absolutely absurd stat line
  12. I’m like most people and want a Mariners/Brewers World Series but I have a hard time seeing any of these remaining teams beating the Dodgers in a best of 7.
  13. You’re on a RED SOX message board wondering why people are happy Yankees lost? Also, You seriously need to get a life, if you post anymore weird AI homophobic slop of dudes kissing or anything similar you can enjoy a nice vacation, maybe a permanent one.
  14. I know some of the players had good numbers against LHP, but I just don’t think a lineup featuring Rob Refsnyder and Romy Gonzalez batting lead off and cleanup and a lineup with Nick Sogard and Nate Eaton in general is ideal at all in a playoff series. This team could really use another elite hitter who isn’t only useful as a platoon bat, someone who can hit both handed pitchers, or at least isn’t completely useless against hand of pitcher.
  15. You lasted 6 days longer and won a wild card series. Congrats! Keep whining and trolling! Both teams accomplished nothing of note this season.
  16. RIP. f*** cancer
  17. Pitching to judge there was dumb, but Duran has to catch that
  18. Doesn’t seem like there was any mistake to me. Chapman allowed 0 runs and they won.
  19. Not a great start for Chapman this inning…
  20. Holy s***, Abreu almost made a game losing mistake
