I’m a firm believer that if this team traded Duran for a Cease rental that it would’ve gone down as one of worst trades in team history. Would’ve been absolutely idiotic to trade Duran during a pennant race. -

If the option is that bad, I don’t think it’s an option that needs to be available. -
I think if they end up moving an outfielder it should be Abreu. Anthony is obviously not going anywhere and I think Duran is a huge part of the clubhouse and culture. I’d prefer to keep him. I also doubt Rafaela gets moved due to how much Cora loves him and his versatility .

Anyway - actual game related things. - Crotchet has been absolutely outstanding. Worth every penny. It’s nice having an actual axe again. - Story continues to come up clutch almost every time the team needs it. - Weissert has had a really underrated season - shoutout Jordan Hicks for not s***ing the bed and forcing Chapman to come in!

Was this entire game thread just complaining about female announcers? Lol they weren’t that bad and half the time I zone out and ignore announcers anyway. I learned that with ESPN broadcasts and John Smoltz calling games
