I understand Story getting hurt doesn’t help, but it’s disappointing to see how bad the defense has been when it was supposed to be an upgrade this season and was emphasized all off season. -

Aren’t the Padres having contract issues and that was part of the reason they dealt Soto and couldn’t afford Snell? I doubt they’d eat part of his deal to get rid of him.

That’s also in large part due to Padres having arguably the best fielding SS in the MLB also on the roster
