I really hate Justin Wilson -
I guess he can’t be worse than Sabol, but I wouldn’t hold my breath hoping a 36 year old catcher with no other offers helps us

Agrees. Casas isn’t good defensively but I feel like bad throws being scooped shouldn’t be taken for granted

Sure; but the Giants, who are very good at evaluating catcher talent liked him. I just don’t see anything about him that’s positive.

I more meant that I didn’t understand the signing. I was pretty vocal against signing Wilson. He sucks Having Houck start the 7th today or Crochet start the 7th yesterday both also could’ve helped the pen.

I can’t believe these late 30s relief pitchers that no one wanted are struggling. Justin Wilson and Liam Hendriks seemed like locks to be good signings

For a guy like Luis Robert? Yeah, probably. The other guys are all pretty much kids and making a name for themselves so I’m sure they’re happy that they have a shot in MLB. Benintendi is exception but he’s also getting paid a lot to be a mentor or whatever White Sox want him to do.

I think the move was letting Crochet start the 7th against the bottom of the order (like I posted before Weissert blew game, this wasn’t hindsight.) if he looks tired/allowed any base runners, have Whitlock ready. I guess Cora didn’t want to use Whitlock in the 7th to preserve him but due ended up using him anyway because Weissert s*** the bed.
