  1. As much as we complain about this team, let’s all be thankful we aren’t White Sox Fans. I went to a game on Monday in Chicago and that team is pathetic and we had to avoid scammers and crackheads just to park near the stadium. They got absolutely destroyed, Kerry Carpenter hit 3 homers, the fans chanted “sell the team” the entire game. You can literally buy upper deck tickets and sit wherever because no one goes because the team, park and location all suck. there was a fan sitting near me that told me Cam Booser is one of the teams best relievers and is their “high leverage guy” and said “yeah it’s that bad” lol
  2. Kelly somehow getting out of this only giving up 1 run was a miracle
  3. Obviously you want your pitchers to get wins as it means your team is winning but I don’t value them much overall. If a pitcher is on a bad team there is a high likelihood that they will have a win/loss that doesn’t reflect their stats at all. for example. Garrett Crotchet in his career has a 14-23 record despite having a 2.93 career ERA.
  4. How is that a contradiction? It’s a throwing error. Nolan Arenado made 17 errors in a season while leading 3B in assists, putouts, DWAR and won Gold glove. Guys who get to more balls, have more chances, and sometimes make an error attempting the exceptional on plays most guys don’t get too. 2024 Elly De La Cruz is a perfect example.
  5. I know this is a tough thing to understand, but if ateam loses one of its best fielders, it will make the fielding worse, even if they were already bad, it’s still a downgrade . Crazy concept, I know.
  6. Literally the exact opposite. If you get an excellent jump for a ball that a normal third basemen doesn’t get to and bounce throw to first and 1B doesn’t pick it. That’s a throwing error. Devers has no range and makes throwing errors
  7. Matt Chapman is without a doubt an excellent defender, and Bregman was tied with him in DWAR. That is pretty excellent. But whatever, keep trolling and reading MSN articles
  8. I don’t think Machado is near the worst in the league though, or even “bad” despite leading the league in errors. He is probably trending more towards an average fielder. Devers is legitimately bad in the field and can’t even blame age like Machado can.
  9. I agree. The roster construction has been very poor and that’s on the front office. I don’t think firing Cora mid season is going to do anything.
  10. He must have been a big fan of Derek Jeter and Rafael Palmeiro’s gold gloves!
  11. Not even close. Bregman makes more errors because he gets to balls Devers can’t even sniff. Devers messes up routine plays. Manny Machado leads MLB 3B in errors and Matt Chapman is 2nd. Do you think those guys are bad fielders?
  12. You claimed he wasn’t an excellent fielder when he was tied with Matt Chapman in DWAR for league lead.
  13. If the argument for Cora being a good manager is winning a World Series with the 2018 team, that isn’t a great one. That team was absolutely stacked with talent. However, he does deserve credit for some of the moves he made, especially during the run. IE. Pinch hitting for a young Devers who was having a good playoffs with Eduardo Nunez and Nunez delivering a 3 run homer was ballsy.
  14. He was also tied for league lead IN DWAR with perennial gold gloves Matt Chapman when he got hurt. But yeah, he wasn’t making the infield defense better.
  15. Mayer is playing 3rd and batting 6th
  16. I haven’t heard anything yet. I’m waiting for them to drop lineup on twitter
  17. Pitching to Rafael Devers there was beyond stupid. Thanks orioles
  18. What the hell is this umpires strike zone? It makes no sense and he’s missed about 30 calls
  19. I legitimately can’t comprehend why Guerrero isn’t on mlb roster.
  20. Newcomb is so bad. He needs to only pitch in blowouts, not be given a chance to make games blowouts
  21. Probably means a Bregman IL Stint is coming
