  1. I mean he’s been one of best pitchers in baseball during his first two seasons…
  2. Imanaga is very tough. There has been almost no hard contact all game
  3. All of the first part of what you said can be true, sure. Wong still sucks
  4. “Got the ball to the outfield” and? It was weak contact. He has 0 extra base hits, is 0-29 with RISP, sucks defensively and has a -0.6 WAR, he’s awful.
  5. I think some posters on here could put up better AB’s than Wong
  6. He had 30+ homers 3 times (and finished with 28 last year despite injuries.) his career OPS in Boston is higher than Yaz, Dwight Evans, Fisk, Pedroia and Jim Rice. he is also 10th in team history in homers. people can say what they want about him but calling “unremarkable” and acting like he wasn’t a great hitter is insane.
  7. Crochet was absolutely amazing today. He has to be nearly perfect and he just about was. 3 singles in 9 innings with 0 walks. Absolutely dominant
  8. If they are going to keep all 5 outfield guys (Duran, Abreu, Yoshida, Rafaela and Anthony), I think having Rafaela play 2B is fine at times is fine. It helps get everyone in the lineup and Duran is a lot better in CF than left field for whatever reason.
  9. Rafaela had a solid rookie year too. I’m not going to complain about a 23 year old putting up a 2 WAR season despite playing out of position
  10. He had 6 solid seasons. He had a very solid career with some great moments.
  11. A newer version of one of best fielders of the 2010s who won an ALCS mvp? I’ll take it
  12. Watching Connor Wong hit leads me to believe I could play in the majors.
  13. His career OPS+ is also in only 1 and 1/2 seasons and he’s 24. There is room for growth regardless. With how good his defense is, he has immense value, even with a 94 OPS+
  14. He’s been a good hitter for over a month and his advanced metrics are all very positive.
