I don't think I'll ever forget this moment... and many others from Mookie. What a great player he was and what a career he had. I wish him the best in LA, If Sox aren't competitive I now who I'll be pulling for..
Mookie is one of my all time favorite Red Sox players. I don't really care what the return is, I probably wont be content and can't believe this actually happened.
It doesn’t even seem real. Kobe is one of the greatest athletes I’ve ever seen, and literally one of the last things I saw before going to bed last night was him congratulating Lebron on passing him on all time scoring list. Rest In Peace to one of the greatest athletes I’ve ever seen and God the news about his 13 year old daughter passing away is heartbreaking. So sad
I don’t think it makes Jeter look better. I think it’s progress in right direction.. but at same time they’re also keeping Bonds out. So it’s still an issue
How is Beltré a maybe? He has 3rd highest WAR for 3B in MLB history, has 3000 hits, almost 500 homers and is all time leader for 3B in hits, RBI, runs scored and was one of best fielders at his position.
Which is dumb. If a player retirees with a hall of fame resume, he should be inducted as soon as eligible. Just because some idiots made some of the legends wait extra years for no logical reason, it doesn’t mean it’s a tradition that should continue.
Yeah, it’s really really bad logic. “Well some idiot back in the day didn’t vote for Ted Williams, so since that happened, when Albert Pujols is eligible, I’m gonna not vote for him!”
It happens in every sport. If the media didn’t like a guy for whatever reason they’ll try holding him out. Terrell Owens I think got denied his first two years despite easily having accolades to be first ballot.
My point is that it’s incredibly stupid to not vote for an obviously Hall Of Fame player just so they won’t be “unanimous”. There is no way Mariano Rivera was the only “unanimous” hall of famer.
The people that don’t vote obvious players in should have their voting rights taken away. In what world are Jeter and Ken Griffey Jr not hall of famers?
