  1. As someone who was very young at the time, I thought Sammy Sosa was a God and Sosa/McGwire definitely helped popularity of the game.. as for integrity of game and all that? Probably not best look
  2. I don't think Valdez is going to make the team after that effort.
  3. There is a fair point, but if there is an issue regarding that stuff, they need to fix it. Today, fans are raving on social media about how much they loved Trevor Bauer mocking the Astros by telling Dodgers hitters beforehand which pitch he was going to throw. Then in the Cubs game, Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant were mic'd up talking about the Astros, giving live by play by play and it was all around pretty funny. You would think the MLB would be doing everything they could to promote this type of content. Here is link to one of the better moments of Rizzo comments for anyone interested: https://twitter.com/Cubs_Live/status/1234584672094638082?s=20
  4. If the Yankees want Matz, they have the way better farm system. I’m not sure how we “block” the move unless we overpay, which isn’t smart with an already thin farm.
  5. NFL, NBA and NHL also have their own networks and still have no problem uploading the highlights and make it easy to view for fans. It was a really bad look last year when the MLB was getting into a pissing match with twitter because people were sharing highlights of games, so Twitter decided during the wild card games, videos couldn't be posted, so the MLB's own account and the Nationals account couldn't even share highlights from Juan Sotos game winning hit. https://brobible.com/sports/article/mlb-juan-soto-tweet/
  6. Is there a reason why they don’t? I can’t logically think of a reason why they wouldn’t want best highlights of their sport uploaded ASAP. The other thing that is weird is I feel like they just don’t advertise or promote their young talent in general. I can scroll through Facebook or twitter and see highlights and/or interviews of all the young stars of other sports. Zion Williamson, Ja Morant, Mahomes, etc. With MLB players, if I wasn’t a Red Sox fan I’m not sure id even know what Mookie Betts sounded like. And there is so many stud players, especially young ones with great talent to be hyping up too. Fernando Tatis Jr and Vlad Jr would be perfect examples. Young, exciting and great personalities.
  7. It’s absurd to me they don’t. The NBA thrives by having videos of literally everything uploaded to social media instantly. Zion Williamson has a crazy dunk yesterday, NBA, bleacher report and ESPN all had it uploaded in less than 5 minutes. MLB should too, especially with how many exciting young players there is.
  8. I'd let them all in, well all the worthy ones. A-Rod, Clemens, Bonds, Manny, etc
  9. I mean do I really have to explain it? He has 7 MVPS, most ever by 4, set the single season and all time home run record, set the walk record and on top of this was a gold glove fielder and elite base runner. He reached base over 5500 times in his career. At age 42 he had a season with a near .500 OBP and an OPS over 1000. There was a lot of players cheating in that era and honestly in most eras and Bonds was in a league of his own. He has 4th highest WAR ever, only behind Cy Young, Babe Ruth and Walter Johnson. Steroids made him strong, but he still needed an elite skill set to do what he did, for as long as he did.
  10. I completely agree. Barry Bonds is one of the most dominant and feared players I’ve seen in any sport. You could give almost any player in league history steroids and they won’t come close to replicating the dominance he displayed. He needs to be in Hall, as well as some others.
  11. The NFL is probably going to have a lockout. There is a lot of stars speaking out about this new proposal, with the 17 game season and none of them seem happy. Not looking good.
  12. I think someone on Twitter lied about that
  13. I’m not “happy” about the trade but at this point I’ve moved on. I hope all three of the players we got flourish in Boston, and I’m not gonna compare them to Mookie, because they won’t ever be Mookie.
  14. A lot of people were also pretty low on Xander and Devers after slow starts.
  15. He already made a thread in Yankees sub-forum..
  16. I was one of those people thrilled for Crawford... I thought worst case at least this ******* will stop making Red Sox life miserable with how much he kills them..
  17. I don’t really care about Mendoza. The only announcers that annoy me are the ones who are really biased, loud and annoying. Michael Kay, Hawk Harrelson, Mariners play by play, Gary Thorne.
  18. I also liked Leon. Others I really liked: Ramon Ramirez, Hideki Okajima, Darnell McDonald, JD Drew, Shane Victorino, Coco Crisp and I for some reason thought Wily Mo Pena was gonna be a superstar and was excited when we got him.
  19. I used to love Coco Crisp
  20. I honestly don’t have a problem with steroid users being in hall of fame. A lot of the league was cheating and most of them would’ve been great anyway. Barry Bonds is best player I’ve ever seen.
  21. I can’t wait to see the rule changes he’d make.
  22. He really is horrible. He and Goodell are two of the worst commissioners of all time.
  23. Myers can also play 1B. Not like Moreland is amazing
  24. I know Pomeranz was on roster because my dad texted me during one of the games “Why the f*** is that dumb f*** warming up”. He wasn’t a Pom fan
  25. We need to rebuild our farm, so I’m not against a move like this as long as we aren’t giving up anything valuable for Myers.
