  1. Jets dismantling the Rams 40-0... at the HALF. Goodness.
  2. Hahahahaha. West Virginia was down 20-9 with less than a minute to play. They score a TD with 18 seconds left and get the 2 point conversion to make it 20-17. Then they get the onside kick, and kick a 52 yard FG to tie it 20-20 as time expires to send it to OT. There are now MASSES of people flocking back into the stadium for OT. That place was halfway cleared out. Edit: And Cincinnati ends up winning 26-23 in OT.
  3. Kentucky is giving Georgia all they can handle in Lexington. 38-35 Wildcats in the 4th
  4. I think he gets somewhere around 3/70
  5. 18, which is absurd. No one will ever come close to that.
  6. So let me get this straight. 4 years ago he signed a deal for 4/40... and 4 years later (and 4 years older), Boras is wanting 12 million more than he got last time for a player who's fallen off the face of the planet? Sounds like a bargain!
  7. Indeed. I just laughed as hard at the 1st post as I did 3 months ago. Great stuff.
  8. Welcome. Glad to have you aboard.
  9. In other news, the Sacramento Kings absolutely suck. I figured we'd be bad this year, but our defense has been even worse than I expected - it's probably the worst in the NBA. We also just went 0-4 on our East coast road trip. Freakin awesome. The young guys like Jason Thompson and Spencer Hawes have looked pretty good so far so at least that's encouraging. Fortunately we oughta have a lot of cap space in the next couple off-seasons, so bringing in a big time FA could be a possibility.
  10. By the way RB, it's a good thing you're in 1st place right now. Losing Brodeur for 3-4 months is a killer.
  11. That was a beat down.
  12. Marian Hossa is a welcome addition to my team. Turco has got to get back on track though. I don't have a whole lot of other options at goalie at this point. I'm excited to have Marc-Andre Fleury now though. He's a stud.
  13. Holy crap. I don't know what happened (had to work) in this game that we got behind 21-3 to the CHIEFS but fortunately we came back to win in OT. I caught the game from OT on. Hate to look so bad like that, but I'll take a win on the road any time, especially with the Panthers and Saints having bye weeks.
  14. Uh oh. 91 yard TD pass. Come on you Red Raiders!
  15. Could Marty Turco REALLY be any worse than he has been so far this season? He is single handedly killing my team. I didn't exactly expect this crap when I drafted him so early... I keep telling myself he will turn it around, and he keeps putting up crappy performances.
  16. Yeah, I know. I realized I mis-read the thread title and was thinking more along the lines of favorite memories. But still.
  17. - Lester's no hitter - Watching Pedroia crush the ball night in night out - Youkilis having a career year - JD's superhuman month of June - Bay being awesome since the trade - Getting to see my first 2 games at Fenway (against the Twins, the 8th inning comeback and 18-5 blowout) All in all, just watching these guys play every day was a pleasure. Just a fun bunch and like everyone else I'm anxiously awaiting 2009.
