  1. I'm just wondering who they can actually get for Pineiro, I mean, he is really that big of a value... I dont think so... he's shown some good stuff out of the pen, but was only late last year... he doesnt look to be anything valuable on the trade market IMO...
  2. awesome, thanks man... since it's not televised...
  3. I do remember seeing Pedroia adjust his batting gloves similar to Nomar... I can sorta see a resemblance...
  4. It's great to have a quality pitcher like Papelbon who can close like he did... but I'd rather see him start, I think he will be a very good starter, and I don't want his career to be ruined over 1 or 2 years of closing... Im just worried about his shoulder, but if this is what will get the closer issue over and done with, I guess it's the right decision... I just wish they told Pap this before hand so he could have built up his shoulder a little more, so he can make it through the year... But I bet he's already doing that because of what happened last year... And this also opens up a slot for Lester in a few months... Whatever happens, GO SOX!
  5. No way, Lidge had a rough year, that's no reason to throw Wily Mo at them, he's gonna be good, all he needs is some tuning... About Hansen, give the kid a chance, he had one year last year to try and show what he had and he didn't throw his best pitch (slider), I dont know why... but I think he should just pitch how he did in his short '05 term... Why not try and trade Murphy (don't go crazy yet, I know Murphy for Lidge would never go) and maybe Delcarmen... but I think Wily Mo and Ellsbury (from earlier posts) are off limits, they're our future outfielders...
  6. I wouldn't mind Hunter either, but how about A. Jones? He could replace Manny if we don't resign him, which I doubt we would...

    Crawford

In my mind he's one of the top ballplayers out there... he's great, and he's only 25... almost any outfielder... maybe
  8. well if he's not on anything... good for him, he's having a great return to baseball... good luck.
  9. I hope he goes back to shortstop because third base is not for him... he use to be one of my favorite players when I was younger, but this s*** is ruining him... I kinda feel bad... and I hope he never comes to Boston, it's only gonna be worst than NY...

    Jose Jose

16 years old, hitting like that?... I don't really see a risk on signing him...
  11. like David Murphy?
  12. Timlin's a set-up man, not a closer, I don't know why they consider him closer material, especially when he hasn't pitched at all this spring... I hope Pineiro shines as the closer this year...
  13. I just saw some reports about Dice-K's start today and they say stuff like, "Matsuzaka gets hammered" and "Bad Day for Dice-K"... his start today wasn't even that bad, he gave up 4 runs I believe, it's spring training and it's only 4 runs... and 3 of those runs scored because of a throwing error...
  14. you know what, f*** you, you've been nothing but an ******* to me, so f*** off...
  15. Howard might hit 29 home runs..... in the first half of the year... or more...
  16. I don't know but I really feel the Sox will pull it off this year... i have faith...
  17. O NOOOO, Hansen what the hell are you doing to yourself... throw that damn slider you had in '05, and you'll be the closer...
  18. with Ellsbury going how he is, Coco's gonna go for sure, If Ellsbury plays in AAA how he is right now, Coco may be packing his bags around the Trade Deadline... would it really be that big of a surprise if that happened though...? I like Coco but but Ellsbury's f***ing awesome, I can't wait to see this kid in the majors everyday... sorry Coco...
  19. Here it goes... AL EAST: Boston Red Sox AL CENTRAL: Detroit Tigers AL WEST: Los Angeles Angels WILD CARD: New York Yankees NL EAST: New York Mets NL CENTRAL: St. Louis Cardinals NL WEST: Los Angeles Dodgers WILD CARD: Chicago Cubs (EDIT: or Atlanta Braves, tough call...)
  20. yaaaay, close to single digits...
  21. I'm telling you man, Howard is the real thing, he will only get better... I told you, he's the next Ortiz, but in the NL... well that's my opinion...
